TALKING POINTS:

Good morning! Thank you for having me today.

It’s my pleasure to represent Mayor Malik Evans,

whose a strong supporter of the Fringe Festival. I

hope you’re all enjoying your summer!

Rochester’s festival season is in full swing – and

yet, we still have much to look forward to with

the Rochester Fringe Festival on the horizon.

Fringe has become one of Rochester’s signature

events, the flourish at the end of a summer of

festivals.

The Fringe Festival is a spectacular opportunity

to celebrate the importance of the performing

arts with the best of our local talent as well as

world-renowned international acts.

And the City of Rochester is a proud sponsor;

happy to see it grow and thrive over the last 12

years as it brings a wonderful vitality and

vibrancy to our Downtown.

So I’m very excited to be here with you all today

to learn what Erica and the Fringe team have in

store for us this year.

Thank you to Erica, the Board of Directors, and

all of the Festival’s sponsors, supporters and

attendees for elevating Fringe to be one of

Rochester’s premier special events.

With that, I'm going to pass the microphone to

City Councilmember, Mitch Gruber.
