A joint effort of the Mission Committee and the Youth Advisory Committee will provide a church wide opportunity

for a Mission Trip this summer. July 9-16 is the date set for the Mission Trip to Akron, Ohio, and the Cross Community Church. This trip is open to youth who have completed the seventh grade, any family or adults that would like to attend. The purpose of the trip will be to assist the Cross Community Church in outreach efforts through prayer walking, VBS, and canvassing. There will also be the opportunity to fence a playground, do some light construction and cleaning. Of course, with any project, other needs may arise. The projected cost for the trip is $100 per person, with a $300 cap for a family of over three individuals. A $50 deposit is needed by June 1 to confirm your spot. Youth wishing to attend need to work in our VBS to be trained for the opportunity at Cross Community Church. Sundays in the summertime in the South will test the faithfulness of Gods people. With all the opportunities for recreation around us, it is quite easy to fall into the trap of missing a few Sundays. With Jesus as our first priority, we should save the recreation time for afternoon and show our faithfulness to God by being in His house for Sunday School and Worship. I look forward to seeing you this Sunday in Sunday School and Worship. Paul FARM WORKERS MISSION PROGRAM Those who would like to help in this mission project need to call Delrose Betts at 246-6984. The dates are June 11-16. You may volunteer to help in any morning or night. Also mens pants and shirts are greatly needed and may be given to Delrose.

SAINTS ALIVE CONCERTS The Saints Alive met last Tuesday May 17 and shared concerts at Memorial Healthcare and Willow Ridge Assisted Living Facility. It is heartwarming to see the joy on the faces of the residents as our choir sings new and familiar old songs. Many of these residents are unable to physically attend church, and our presence gives them an opportunity to worship the Lord. After each concert, our singers meet and greet each resident. We find that God blesses us when we make ourselves available to be a blessing to others! Our trip to the Tarrer Inn in downtown Colquitt was fun as well. The food and fellowship were great. The tour of the downtown featured stops to see the beautiful murals on walls as well as the huge one on the grain silos. Our tour also stopped to enjoy the brand new worship center at FBC Colquitt. Thanks to Ms. Vony who gave us a personal tour of the sanctuary, Fellowship Hall and Choir Room (Choir Room whats that?) We will meet next Monday, May 23 at Memorial Manor. That concert is at 9:00 AM followed by one at Riverside Place at 10:AM. Emerald Lakes RV Park will be our lunch stop. Join us. HOMELAND. . . Is the title of the new patriotic musical to be shared in the Coliseum on Sunday, June 26. Singers, please plan to join us for our rehearsals on Wednesday nights and Sunday afternoon bonus rehearsals. This Sunday, there will be a rehearsal for sopranos and altos at 5:00 PM in the Cooper House. Art
