I was thinking about our services this past Sunday and I was deeply gratified in remembering the Praise

Band as they led in our morning worship services and the youth as they led in us in the evening service. I thought about the individuals that took part in leadership that had not previously done so. The Praise Band and the Youth led service allowed people to serve and lead for the first time. And they all did awesome! Thank you for allowing the Lord to use you. The Lord wants to use each one of us in His kingdoms work. Out excuses fall deaf upon His ears. Our fears prove unfounded in His hands. We can run, but we cant hide! We can refuse, but we cant get rid of the feeling of conviction. God calls us to follow Him and serve Him. He calls us to ask How can I be used?. Not to say why we cannot be used. Where is the Lord going to use YOU? Sunday School, AWANA, Discipleship Training, Music, Missions, Childrens work, Youth work, Senior Adult Ministry, Visitation, and Ushers are just some of the places of worship that you can fit into. And there are jobs that dont fall into one of these categories. Jobs like occasional help with the building and grounds, extra kitchen help, special ministry projects and special events. All God asks of any of us is to be available for His service. He then provides all we need to serve Him. See you in service to Him this Sunday. ADULT PRAISE TEAM LEADS IN WORSHIP A special word of thanks to the Adult Praise team for leading in worship last Sunday morning. Our team consists of Allison Barber and Beth Briggs on vocals, Brad Moore on bass, Toby Roland and Rich Ragan on guitar and Patrick Balough on drums. Their talents blended seamlessly as they transitioned from traditional hymns to praise songs and the worship tunes. We thank each of you for helping us worship and adore the Lord our Savior. It is a joy to have you lead us each month. Thanks to Toby for leading the congregational singing, as well. PROPERTY COMMITTEE NEEDS ASSISTANCE Can you help us with some mowing? The back houses on the Shotwell Street Cooper property have been transferred over to FBC. The plans are to demolish these empty buildings and make a park/green space for our children, youth and church to use. We are looking for some volunteers who would be willing to do some mowing around these buildings. There are no budget funds available to accomplish this work. Would you be willing to take this on as a ministry? Please contact Billy Poppell at (229) 2241128 if you can do it all or be a part of a team that works once a month. YOUTH CAMP REPORT Thanks to all who were present Sunday night for the Youth Camp Report. Hearing the touching testimonies of Gods work in the lives of our teens brought back memories of 25 years of Youth Camps I have been blessed to lead. Pray for our teens as they continue to live like Christ and follow His will each day. Art

Children Summer Activity Update: July 27 Wakulla Day Trip Cost: Reduced to $15.00 (includes everything!) Please call the church office to sign up for this trip. We need to know how many for transportation purposes. August 3 End of Summer Celebration YMCA Parents and children are all encouraged to attend this celebration. Everyone can bring their swim suits and enjoy some laps around the pool. We will be serving dinner that evening , so dont worry about feeding your children before they come. August 5 School Starts Back!! 2011 Operation Worship Bible Operation Worship Bible is sponsored by LifeWay and is aimed at getting our military men and women some very special Bibles while overseas. What makes these Bibles so special? The Bibles will be available in the church office (beginning Monday July 18) for someone to pick-up and write a short note of encouragement to those who will be receiving them. Children and adults alike are encouraged to write or draw a picture for them. Its amazing what a picture or a few words will mean to those who receive one of these Bibles. This was our mission project for VBS this year and we are following thru with this project with your help. I have purchased over 100 Bibles with the monies collected thru the VBS offering this year. Will you help us fulfill this mission by taking part in sending a note to say thank you for what you are doing and a prayer of protection for each and every one. Gods Servant, Bro Earl

Youth Lock-In Glory be to God for the 61 youth that participated in the youth lock-in last week. A special thank you to the chaperones: Janone Doss, Josh Dykes, Kelley Harrell, April Helms, Rich Ragan, and Roger Smith. Thanks to Matt Cross, Ron Gilliard, Paul Medley, and Russ Willis, we enjoyed a hot breakfast of biscuits with homemade gravy, eggs, and sausage. Youth Led Evening Service What a blessing to see our youth leading the evening service and sharing from their hearts about their camp experiences. Everyone that was here received a blessing from your efforts. A big hug to every youth that made it happen! Soles4Souls If you are meaning to donate some of your gently worn shoes, make a note that this is the last week. Soles4Souls distributes these worldwide from flood victims in Nashville, TN to orphans in Haiti. Go to your closet right now and get 2 pairs to bring to church this week. Together, we can make a difference. Help! Prayerfully consider volunteering to assist our youth this school year. We are needing help with food preparation, chaperoning after ballgames, small group leaders, and mentors. If you feel led to help in any capacity, please contact the church office. Please know that you dont have to be a parent to volunteer to help. Wednesday Night Bible Study We have had some special times this summer. One of them being this Wednesday Night. Thanks to Richard Dykes for the lesson on temptations. Wow! When were you last tempted and how did you handle that temptation? This Week!
