and join in the round, placing marker at beginning of round. Follow the
directions for your size:
Small:
*p1, (k2, p2)x3, k2, p1** repeat from * to ** six times to establish ribbing pattern
for brim. Knit 7 more rounds in pattern.
Increase round: *pfbf, (k2, M1P, P2, M1P)x3, k2, pfbf** repeat from * to ** six
times (156 st)
Medium:
*p2, (k2, p2)x4** repeat from * to ** six times to establish ribbing pattern for brim.
Knit 7 more rounds in pattern.
Increase round: *p1, M1P, p1, (k2, M1P, P2, M1P)x3, k2, p1, M1P, p1** repeat
from * to ** six times (156 st)
Large:
*p3, (k2, p2)x3, k2, p3** repeat from * to ** six times to establish ribbing pattern
for brim. Knit 7 more rounds in pattern.

Switch to larger needle. Knit one round working the stitches as presented
(knitting the knits and purling the purls). Work rounds 1-65 of the chart, repeating
the chart six times per round, or follow the written directions below. Switch to
DPNs or magic loop when necessary.
For a less slouchy hat: Omit the odd numbered rounds from round 37-61 (this will
result in working a cable every round).
