I. Objectives
a) Identify the meaning of listening text.
b) Explains the importance of listening text and
c) Evaluate various listening text in different forms.
II. Subject Matter
Topic: Listen To Get Information
Materials: Laptop, T.V., PowerPoint Presentation, Video Clip
Reference: English 10 Quarter 3 Module 6
III. PROCEDURE
A. Preparatory Activities: Prayer, Checking of Attendance, Setting of classroom atmosphere
The teacher will start the class with a prayer, check the attendance & set the classroom atmosphere.
B. Drill/Review: Interactive oral recitation
The teacher will ask the students a question based on their previous discussion.
C. Motivation: Play a game “DO WHAT I SAID, NOT WHAT I SAY"
The class will be grouped into two and play the game.
D. Presentation: Video clip presentation of a song “Sierra Madre”
The students will answer some questions based on the song presented.
E. Discussion:
The teacher will further discuss the meaning of the song and what is listening text, its importance
and the strategies.
F. Application: Task 4
The student will answer two (2) sets of activity, set a and set B.
G. Generalization: Task 5
The students will share what they have learned from the lesson, share its importance and how
he/she will be going to apply it in a real-life situation?
IV. Evaluation/Assessment: Task 6
The student will answer the following question about the lesson being discussed.
V. Agreement: Task 7
The student will research one song and he/she will be going to share it to the class why he/she
chooses that song. Explain what does the song all about.
