Control Measures.
(List the control measures required to eliminate or minimize the risk
of injury arising from the identified hazard.)
Ensure the competency the driver/operator (operator/driver
should have heavy license and crane/hydra operator should be
approved by HSSE/HMEL)
Vehicle speed should not more than 25kmph without load and
15kmph with load.
Check and ensure the vehicle/equipments is in good working
condition before use.
Follow HMEL golden rule No 7 & 9 ( Do not drive under
influence of drugs & alcohol)
Ensure good firm level of ground condition.
Ensure the service of banks men during working the
equipment & reversing the vehicle
Do not use bare hands to handle heavy material.
keep the distance from the moving parts, loads
Use correct tools and proper PPE’s.
Use guide rope to control the movement of lifting load.
Use crane/hydra wherever required
Avoid unusual body movements such as
bending ,stretching ,stooping
use TPI certified & healthy condition lifting tools & Tackles
Movement of People in the area to be restricted by physical
barication.
Qualified banks man/Foreman shall lead the lifting jobs
Take clearance from the authority.
Valid permit to work should in place wherever required(i.e.
ISBL, roads)
A competent Banks man should accompany the truck / trailer
during transportation
Follow safe speed limits in curves stop look and proceed.
Projected part to be highlighted by caution tape.
Provide adequate Information, instruction and Trainings.
