KEVIN R. SCHNEIDER
Secretary-Treasurer December 29, 2021

Dear Member,

Enclosed is a copy of the grievance filed on your behalf. The Step One (1)
meeting has already been held. As the Corporation refused to settle your claim,
we will now proceed to Step Two (2). Your Union Representative will advise
you of the time, date and location of the meeting if you choose to attend.
Hopefully, the Corporation will settle your claim at that time.

If not, the case will be submitted to our Executive Grievance Committee. The
grievance will be analyzed and a determination made as to whether it should be
arbitrated. If the decision is made to arbitrate the case, it will be assigned to one
(1) of our in-house attorneys. The attorney will attempt to schedule the case for
arbitration, which is best described as an informal trial.

If the Grievance Committee believes the case cannot be won, you will be advised
of the dismissal. You will be further advised of your right to appeal this decision
to our Executive Board. Twenty-eight (28) persons serve on this board, at least
sixty percent (60%) of who work in the facilities we represent. The remainder of
the Board is comprised of staff. Pursuant to our Bylaws, a majority of the Board
members have the final authority as to whether or not a grievance is arbitrated.

Hopefully, the foregoing explains the process to you. If it does not, please do not
hesitate to contact your Union Representative.

Sincerely,

Kim C Cordova
President
