Govt Launches Scheme to Support Pregnant Minor Victims of Sexual Assault
Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Smriti Irani has launched a new scheme to address

for critical care and support for accessing justice to rape/gang rape survivors or minor girls who get

Women and Child Development (MWCD).


Under the initiative, medical and financial support will be provided through the Nirbhaya Fund.
The budget of the proposal is Rs 74.10 crore. The allocated funds will also be used to establish
dedicated shelters for these victims.

MHA launched Scheme for Expansion and Modernization of Fire Services in the States with
outlay of Rs 5000 crore

the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) to strengthen the fire services across the States of India.
The total outlay of the scheme is Rs 5000 crore and out of this, Rs. 500 crore is kept for to incentivize
the States on the basis of their legal and infrastructure-based reforms.

Govt extends Atal Beemit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana for 2 Years up to June 2024
The Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, has extended the Atal Beemit Vyakti
Kalyan Yojana (ABVKY),
Corporation (ESIC) for two years up to 30th June 2024. According to the gazette notification, the scheme
has been extended for a period 1st July 2022 to 30th June 2024 with relaxed eligibility conditions and
enhanced rate of relief.This is the third extension since its inception.

MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan initiated the registration of Mukhyamantri Sikho Kamao Yojana
for youths in MP
Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh (MP) implemented the Mukhyamantri Sikho-
Kamao Yojana (MMSKY) (CM Learn and Earn Scheme) for the skill development of the youths of MP.He
started the process of registration of youth applicants in this scheme and interacted with the youths
during the event organised at the Ravindra Bhavan in Bhopal, MP.The scheme-related training will
begin on 1st August 2023.

Odisha Government launches Mo Jungle Jami Yojana for Forest Dwellers


The Odisha Government
recognise all rights under the Scheduled Tribes and Other Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of
Forest Rights Act)(FRA), 2006 in the next two years. Under Mo Jungle Jami Yojana scheme, Forest
Rights Cells will be constituted at the tehsil and district level for the implementation of FRA, 2006.

Pilot Project of Antyoday Shramik Suraksha Yojana Launched in Gujarat


Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Union Minister of State for Communications Devusinh
Chauhan, launched the Pilot Project of Antyoday Shramik Suraksha Yojana for the welfare of the
workers from Nadia of Kheda district in Gujarat. Gujarat has become the first state in the India to
introduce this scheme aiming to benefit the workers.
The scheme aims to provide financial stability to workers or Labourers, in case of any accident or
death.
It is being implemented through the Indian Postal Department, the Indian Post Payments Bank, and the
Ministry of Labour and Employment.

Karnataka Launches Scheme for Women Supporting Households


Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah launched the registration for Gruha Lakshmi scheme, which
provides Rs 2,000 monthly assistance to the woman head of the households.The Scheme will benefit
around 1.28 crore families in Karnataka and the cash benefit of Rs 2,000 will be transferred through
Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The Gruha Lakshmi scheme will be implemented from August 15, 2023.

Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel Launches Gramin Awas Nyay Yojana


On 19 July 2023, During the announcement of Rs.1,764 crore worth benefits for various segments of

scheme aimed at providing homes to rural homeless individuals in Chhattisgarh.The scheme will be
fully sponsored by State Government of Chhattisgarh by allocating Rs.100 crore in budget.
This scheme will help families which are encountering challenges in obtaining housing approval
due to the eligibility criteria for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana which is based on Socio-
Economic Survey 2011 (officially known as Socio Economic and Caste Census SECC 2011).

Gujarat Launches Revamped PMJAY-MA Scheme with Rs 10 lakh Health Cover


Government of Gujarat launched the revamped Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana-Mukhyamantri
Amrutam (PMJAY-MA) scheme, under which people can avail free medical treatment up to Rs 10 lakh,
a twofold rise from the previous limit of Rs 5 lakh.The revamped scheme was officially launched by
Rushikesh Patel, Minister of Health and Family Welfare of Gujarat in the presence of Gujarat Health
Department officials.

Ministry of Finance Launches Vivad Se Vishwas-2 Scheme To Settle Contractual Disputes
Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance (MOF), launched the scheme, Vivad se Vishwas II
(Contractual Disputes), to settle the pending contractual disputes of government and government
undertakings.The scheme was announced in the Union Budget 2023-24 by the Union Finance Minister,
Nirmala Sitharaman.
The scheme aims to promote ease of doing business and will cover disputes up to September 30,
2022. The deadline for submitting claims under the scheme is 31st October 2023
Application for settlements are to be made by the contractors through the Government e-
Marketplace (GeM) portal.

Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana Completes 9 Years of Successful Implementation


Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), a National Mission for Financial Inclusion (FI)
completed 9 years of successful implementation.PMJDY, the biggest financial inclusion
initiative in the world, was introduced by Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi on 15th August
2014 (Independence Day) and was launched on 28th August 2014. FI is a comprehensive
approach aimed at fostering economic development and ensuring that financial services are
accessible to all segments of society.
PMJDY aims to ensure access to financial services, namely, basic savings & deposit accounts,
remittance, credit, insurance, and pension in an affordable manner to all households in India.

Automotive PLI Scheme Extended by Another Year till FY28


Union Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey,Ministry of Heavy Industries(MHI) in
Production Linked Incentive- announced the extension of the deadline of
Production Linked Incentive(PLI) Scheme for Automobile and Auto Component Industry by
another year.
The program that was supposed to last for five years, from 2022-23 to 2026-27, will be
active till 2027-28.
The distribution of the incentives will be on a quarterly basis, instead of an annual plan.

Gramin Mitra: Goa CM launches Door-Step Delivery of Govt Scheme for Rural Area
Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister(CM) of Goa, launched Gramin Mitra, the flagship scheme of the
Government of Goa to provide doorstep delivery of government services across the state and
promote digital empowerment in rural areas at an event held at the Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan in
Goa.
Goa is the first state to offer doorstep delivery of government services through the
Gramin Mitra Scheme or village-level entrepreneurs.
TN CM Stalin Launches Expansion of Breakfast Scheme for all TN govt School Students
Tamil Nadu (TN) Chief Minister (CM), MK Stalin inaugurated the expansion of the state
-run primary schools from classes 1 to 5. With
this scheme, TN has now become the first state in India to provide free breakfast to students in
all government schools.The scheme was inaugurated at a government school at Tirukkuvalai in
Nagapattinam district, the birthplace of M Karunanidhi, former CM of TN and DMK patriarch.

Kisan e-Mitra: Union MoS Kailash Choudhary Launched AI Chatbot for PM-KISAN Scheme
Kailash Choudhary, Minister of State (MoS) for the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare
(MoA&FW Kisan e- an AI (Artificial Intelligence) Chatbot for the Pradhan
Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Scheme in New Delhi, Delhi.
The chatbot will enhance the efficiency and accessibility of the PM-KISAN scheme, providing
farmers with rapid, clear, and easily accessible responses to their inquiries.
The MoA&FW successfully integrated the AI chatbots into government schemes. This is the first AI
Chatbot integrated with a major Union government flagship scheme.

India Achieves 75% ODF Plus Villages under Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen
India has achieved the major milestone under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) Phase II with 75%
villages achieving Open Defecation Free (ODF) Plus status under Phase II of the Mission. An ODF Plus
Model village adds ODF status to its name and has arrangements for both Solid Waste and Liquid Waste
Management.
Target has been fixed to make all villages ODF Plus by 2025.
The top performing States/UTs which have achieved 100% ODF Plus villages: Andaman & Nicobar
Islands, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Goa, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu &
Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala, Ladakh, Puducherry, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Tripura.

Food Packet Scheme (MNAFP) (Chief Minister's Free Annapurna Food Packet Scheme) on the occasion
of the Independence Day (15th August 2023).

Himachal CM Sukhu launches SABAL Yojna to Empower Specially-Abled Children


Chief Minister (CM) of Himachal Pradesh (HP) Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu launched Mukhya Mantri
Sporting Abilities, Rebuilding Aspirations and Livelihood Scheme (SABAL) from Nadaun in district
Hamirpur, HP during the event jointly organized by Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan and Sampark Foundation.The
scheme intends to improve the lives of specially-abled children in the state by integrating them into the

Goa CM Pramod Sawant Launched Griha Adhar Scheme to Empower Homemakers


Pramod Sawant, Goa Chief Minister (CM) distributed Griha Adhar sanction orders to numerous

TN CM Launches Women's Rights Grant Scheme; Beneficiaries to Get Rs.1000/month


Chief Minister (CM) of Tamil Nadu(TN) M K Stalin launched Kalaignar Magalir Urimai (Thogai) Thittam,
grant scheme, to provide financial assistance of Rs 1000 per month for women, who
are recognised as the heads of families.
The scheme was launched on the occasion of the birth anniversary of former TN CM and Dravida
Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) founder C.N. Annadurai(15th September).

Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu Launches Scheme for Welfare of Labour Force
The Chief Minister (CM) of Arunachal Pradesh (AR), Pema Khandu rolled out new scheme titled
welfare of the labour force of the state.The
scheme was launched during an event organized by the state unit of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) at
Nyokum Lapang ground, Itanagar, AR.
The event was orgnaised as a part of the observance of Vishwakarma Jayanti.
BMS has celebrated as National Labour Day on 17th September 2023, the eve of Vishwakarma Jayanti.

Odisha CM Launches Two New Schemes To Improve The nutritional Status


The Chief Minister(CM) of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik rolled out two new schemes namely 'Mukhyamantri
Sampoorna Pushti Yojana' and 'Pada Pushti Yojana' to improve the health condition of pregnant
women, children and adolescent girls in the state.
Mukhyamantri Sampoorna Pushti Yojana aims to improve the nutritional status of adolescent
girls, pregnant women, and malnourished children in Odisha.
Under the 'Pada Pushti Yojana', children in remote and tribal areas will be given high-quality, cooked
meals in their own villages and enclaves.
