Mo Jungle Jami Yojana (My Forest Land Scheme)

• The Mo Jungle Jami Yojana was ini ated by the government of Odisha which
grants basic rights to the state’s scheduled tribes and forest inhabitants.
• Forest se lements and indigenous communi es in the state will receive
be er water facili es, schools, transporta on ameni es, and health
care facili es under this plan.
• Therefore, the recipients will have greater means of subsistence and food
security.

• The Odisha Mo Jangal Jami Yojana will bene t more than 7 lakh state
residents. By pu ng the Mo Jungle Jami Scheme into prac ce, Odisha will be
the rst state in the country to grant both individuals and communi es
access to forest community rights.
Some of the key features of the Odisha Mo Jungle Jami Yojana are as follows:

The applicants applying for Mo Jungle Jami Scheme must ful ll the following
eligibility criteria:
• The applicant needs to be a ci zen of Odisha
• The bene ts of this program will also be available to PVTGs and single women
• Only scheduled tribes and people who live in forests will be able to bene t from
the program

• Under the scheme, designed by the ST & SC Development department, it has been
decided to cons tute forest rights cells at the tehsil and district level with human
resources to ensure and assist in the e ec ve implementa on of FRA, 2006.
• In Odisha, the progress is limited to individual forest rights (IFR) whereas the
recogni on of community rights (CR) and community forest resources (CFR) rights is
lagging.
• It exists a gap between the poten al and actual achievement in the rights
recogni on and the linked development processes.
• As per the 2011 census, the state is ranked third in terms of Scheduled Tribe
popula on na onally. The tribal popula on of the state stands at 95,90,756 which
cons tutes 22.85 per cent of its total popula on.

Harishchandra Sahayata Yojana:
• The main objec ve of Harishchandra Sahayata Yojana is to provide nancial
assistance for the last rites of the poor.
• Through this scheme nancial assistance of Rs 2000 is provided in rural
areas and Rs 3000 is provided in urban areas to the poor and des tute for
conduc ng crema on of the diseased.

Bene ts And Features Of Harishchandra Sahayata Yojana:
• A budget of 14 crores from the Chief Minister’s relief fund has been allocated under
the scheme.
• Out of this 14 crore, Rs 10 crore will be directly taken from the Chief Minister’s relief
fund and the remaining 4 crores will come through collectors.
• Ini ally, this scheme was launched in 16 districts.
• In the past 2 years, the Government of Odisha has provided nancial assistance of
approximately 32 crores to 1.68 lakh poor and des tute families.

Mukhyamantri Karma Tatpara Abhiyan (MUKTA)
• To provide employment opportuni es to the urban poor, the Government of
Odisha has launched Mukhyamantri Karma Tatpara Abhiyan.
• The Government of Odisha launched an urban wage employment ini a ve in
order to generate employment during the covid-19 lockdown.
• The government has converted this ini a ve into a full- edged scheme called
Mukta Yojana.

• Through Mukhymantri karma Tatpara Abhiyan, the livelihood vulnerabili es of
the urban poor will reduce including migrant laborers and informal workers.

• Through Mukhymantri karma, Tatpara Abhiyan’s economic empowerment of


urban informal workers will take place.

• This scheme’s involvement and empowerment of women, self-help groups, and


slum development associa ons will be increased.

• Under Mukhymantri karma Tatpara Abhiyan, the wager amount will be directly
credited into the bank account of the bene ciary through the direct bene t
transfer method.

Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana
• Through this scheme, the government is going to provide health insurance
coverage up to Rs 5 lakh per family per annum.
• This insurance cover will be for secondary and ter ary processes of
treatment.
• With the help of the Odisha Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana, cashless
treatment will be provided to nearly 3.5 crores (70 lakh families)
bene ciaries throughout the state.

• Under this scheme, all those people who will visit the state government
health ins tu on from district to sub-centre level will be provided all
the healthcare services free of cost irrespec ve of their income,
residence and status.
• For the women bene ciaries, an addi onal amount of Rs 200000 would
be given as health insurance cover.

Odisha Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana has launch with the objec ve of providing healthcare
facili es to the economically weaker sec on of society. There are two components under this
scheme which are as follows:-
• Free Health Care Services: Under this scheme, the government is going to provide free
healthcare services to all irrespec ve of their income, status or residence. These health care
services will provide from the sub-centre level up to district headquarter hospital level
• Health Insurance: For the residents of the states who belong to the economically weaker
sec on of society, the government is going to provide Rs 5 lakh annual health coverage and
Rs 7 lakh annual health coverage for women members of the family. This health insurance is
going to bene t around 70 lakh economically vulnerable, families.
• Drop Back Assistance: Under this ini a ve, pregnant women and sick infants will provide
with Rs 500 who visits public health facili es. With the help of this nancial assistance, the
bene ciary can take transport back home a er delivery/treatment in the hospital

using BSKY facili es because of problems in ge ng disbursement from the Odisha
government.

Kalinga Sikhya Sathi Yojana:
• is to provide educa onal loans so that all those students who want to
pursue higher educa on but due to their nancial condi on are unable to
do so can get the chance to study further.
• With the help of this scheme, the nancial burden on parents and students
will be reduced.
• Now the ci zens of Orissa will be able to pursue their educa on because of
the Yojana as per their interest which will increase the literacy ra o in the
state.
• This scheme will also play an important role in genera ng employment in
the country as more and more students will become educated due to the
implementa on of this scheme which will automa cally generate
employment.

Bhulekh Odisha
• Bhulekh Odisha Portal was recently developed by the government to help ci zens of the state
to check the lands within are lines across the Odisha state.
• Also, the government started this service because every me to check their land in the state of
Odisha the ci zens had to visit the concerned authori es and ll out the applica on to check
their land.

• Bhulekh Odisha is an online land Record portal
• Through this portal, the ci zens of Odisha can check their land records
• Bhulekh Odisha portal has been developed by the Government of Odisha

not required to visit government o ces in order to see their land records
• The ci zens can see their land record from the comfort of their homes with
the help of this portal

Odisha Go Sugam Portal
• Sugam is the rst single-window pla orm of its sort in India for farmers and agribusiness
owners.
• In line with the 5T vision of governance set forth by the Government of Odisha, the
Sugam site intends to alter the lives of farmers by u lizing technology and encouraging
collabora on among public servants to make bene ts to farmers visible and mely.
• The Department of Agriculture & Farmer Empowerment (DAFE) and the Fisheries &
Animal Resource Development (F&ARD) department of the Government of Odisha has
both digi zed all of their farmer-centric programs and services on the Sugam Portal.
