DIY Logo Rating

This document enables you to evaluate your own logo by scoring against
each question out of 10. You can then use this information when making
criticial business decisions in your brand’s journey.

01 How much do you like your current logo? / 10

02 How proud are you to show other people your logo? / 10

03 How well does your logo reflect your brand values? / 10

04 How scalable is your logo? i.e. how well can you distinguish the logo at small and large sizes? / 10

05 How appropriate is your logo for your industry? e.g. comic sans for a bank wouldn’t work! / 10

06 How unique/recognisable is your logo? Tip: compare it to your competitors. / 10

07 How future-proof is your logo? i.e. will it still look as good as does today in 10, 15, 20 years time? / 10

08 How well does your logo speak to your target audience? / 10

09 How versatile is your logo? i.e. how well does it adapt to different applications from a social media
display picture to a billboard / 10

10 How memorable is your logo? Could someone draw it after seeing it for only 10 seconds? / 10

How did you do? Tally up your total and score yourself out of 100. I’ve outlined some
scoring brackets below which will help you make sense of your score.

To put it bluntly, you should have your logo redesigned as soon as possible! It is likely tarnishing your overall brand,
0-25 causing you loss of revenue and shortening the lifespan of your business.

It would be worthwhile having your logo redesigned in the near future. Whilst it is unlikely to be as pressing as the
26-50 0-25 scoring bracket, it should be on the agenda soon.

A good start! If you’ve scored your logo in this range, you’re likely to have a pretty solid logo however it can
51-75 definitely be improved. I want to see you in the 90s+!

Now we’re talking! These are some good numbers. However, be conscious that if you fall on the lower end of this
76-100 spectrum, redesigning your logo now may be a wise investment. It just may take your brand to the next level.
