Statement of Purpose

The NYU Leadership Exchange Program initiated by Sally Blount, Dean, NYU Stern School of Business provides the students from NYU and India, with an opportunity to get acquainted with the culture, curriculum and society in their host cities. It also provides students with an opportunity to study the connections amongst different economies of the world. The LEP also provides the students with a staunch global-cultural perspective. The hands on learning and global experience provided by the LEP would help me develop my leadership skills in the increasingly globalized world. The subjects and activities included in the program would provide an impetus to my leadership skills. The group discussions, presentation, interactive classes and research activities which constitute the program would help me attain a judicious approach towards various aspects of business. I would like to study the cultural differences in the global business environment and also learn techniques to cope up with them which is possible for me through this program. Also, I would like to gain knowledge about foreign financial markets. Through this program I would get an opportunity to experience the culture and curriculum at NYU. International communication at personal level at NYU would provide me great confidence. The international experience and skills learned at NYU would help me broaden my personal horizon. This course will help me attain a global perspective and will guide me in understanding the practical aspects of business all around the world thus helping me transform into a truly global citizen.
