I.OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates understanding of: Philippine Literature in Period of
Emergence as a tool to assert one’s identity; strategies in listening to and
viewing if informative and short narrative texts; words relationships and
associations; informative speech forms; and use of direct/ reported speech,
passive / active voice, simple past and past perfect tenses, and sentence
connectors.
B. Performance The learners transfers learning by: showing ways of asserting one’s identity;
Standards comprehending informative and short narrative texts using schema and
appropriate listening and viewing strategies; expressing ideas, opinions, and
feelings through various formats; and enriching written and spoken
communication using direct/ reported speech, active/ passive voice, simple past
and past perfect tenses and connectors correctly and appropriately.

C. Learning Use and appropriate multimedia resources when orally giving information,
Competencies/Code instructions, making explanations and narrating events in personal or factual
recounts. (EN70L-IV-e-3.10)
D. Learning Objectives At the end of the lesson students will be able to:
1. Define personal and factual recounts
2. differentiate factual and personal recount;
3. use appropriate multimedia in narrating personal and factual recounts.

1. narrate-any kind of explaining or telling of something. It
is usually used in reference to storytelling.
2. events-anything that takes place or happens, esp
something important; happening; incident. the actual or
final outcomes; result
3. story telling- the vivid description of ideas, beliefs,
personal experiences, and life- lessons through stories or
narratives that evoke powerful emotions and insights
4. recount- it is retelling of a event or series of events or
experiences and describing things how they happened.
5. factual- its core meaning, though the word has a long
history, and has been used in many ways. A fact is
something that has really happened or is actually the case.

Stating the Objectives of the Lesson:
