L4. Wish - If Only Clause
*NOTES:
1/ We use hope, not wish, when we want something to happen in the future or when we want
something to have happened in the past:
Ex: I hope the weather’s fine tomorrow.
NOT: I wish the weather’s fine tomorrow.
2/ We use if only to express a strong wish that things could be different. It means the same as
I wish but is stronger.
