Guide to hiring temporary foreign workers

In order to get a temporary work permit (up to 3 years) the employer should create an
account in the below page:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada/hire-
temporary-foreign.html

This program (international Mobility Program) is LMIA-exempt (that means that the
employer does not need to validate that the employee is taking a Canadian position),
details about this in the link below

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-
manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/foreign-workers/exemption-
codes.html

Because I am from Chile, “ Engineer (Mechanic Engineer-Maintenance Supervisor)” is

the LMIA-exempt code. Details are in the link below

manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/foreign-workers/
international-free-trade-agreements/canada-chile.html

In the employer portal, the employer needs to provide some information about its
business and the worker (see screenshot below), more information about this mobility
program in the below link

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada/hire-
temporary-foreign/find-need-labour-market-impact-assessment.html
This is the information that is required in that portal:

After pressing “Access the offer of employment queue” the employer can “submit an
offer of employment”
The offer letter should look like the one below (please note that it is just an example)
