5. Anti-aging, long life: containing 2-2.5% of the uniform distribution of carbon black in PE pipe can
be outdoor storage or use for several decades, as a buried pipeline used to ensure that the service life
of 50 years

6. Abrasion resistance: 4 times of friction resistance compared with the steel pipe. In the mud
transportation field, HDPE pipe has better friction resistance, longer life and more economic
compared with steel pipe.

7. High tenacity, good flexibility: Polyethylene pipe has high toughness, the extension rate at break
is more than 500%, not only has great adjustability for uneven base but also has strong ability for
earthquake resistance. Good flexibility for coiling, does not need a variety of pipe fittings so that can
reduce the quantity of pipe fittings and installation costs

8. Good scratch resistance capabilities: the anti-scratch ability has closer relation with SCG. The
research have show that, PE80 has good resistance to SCG's and scratch-resistant ability, PE100 has
even better ability compared with PE80.

9. Good rapid crack passing resistance : HDPE has forward capacity for rapid crack passing
resistance compare with the normal plastic pipe. The lower temperature, larger diameter and thicker
wall with the higher pressure are easy to cause the rapid crack. Therefore, the PE pipe, in particular
the PE100 is more suitable for large diameter pipe

10. Easy to transport: light weight, easier to move and install, lower cost compared with concrete,
galvanized and steel pipe.
