GENDER
The Equal Pay Act of 1963 and Title VII of the Civil
Rights Act of 1964 protect individuals' rights to equal
pay for equal work, ensuring job content determines
job equality and prohibiting gender preference in job
postings.
EXAMPLE

Unfair treatment of job candidates or employees
based on race or related characteristics is illegal, as
is color discrimination based on skin color or
complexion.
ETHNICITY /RELIGION
Employers are prohibited from unfairly treating
employees based on their religious beliefs/Culture or
tradition, and must provide reasonable
accommodations for employees to practice their
spiritual practices.
Discrimination in school
Discrimination can occur in almost any aspect of
school life, including teachers' attitudes and
expectations, school rules and codes of conduct,
selection and grouping practices, curricula,
teaching methods and materials, changing
facilities, career guidance, canteen food, and the
physical school environment.
