Key Competences Learning Outcomes
The young learner:
 listens carefully to songs and very short stories;
 sings very simple songs in English using the learnt vocabulary and following a given pattern;
 pronounces the words correctly but he/she makes some mistakes;
 describes the outer appearance of family members and friends;
 prepares a very simple project using pictures, colours, cut outs ets;
 particiapes in games organised in class;
 works individually, in pairs and groups to carry out the tasks given and makes simple posters about animals at Zoo;
 respects every group member’s ideas by listening actively;
 Colours and draws different animals.

The young learner:
 listens to, sings songs and repeats the words and very simple phrases of the songs about the parts of the body.
 describes family members using some outer appearance adjectives;
 listens and repeats the words related to parts of the body;
 identifies animals shown in pictures or very short stories;
 draws and colours animals, plants or shapes as instructed;
 identifies characters` favourite animals when shown in pictures;
 uses simple expressions to talk about the weather;
 describes simple actions;
 responds to teacher`s or classmate’s requests, orders or commands by using very simple words or phrases.
