Grim(m) World - Isegrim, the Wolf - Rulebook V1.

Isegrim’s Character Card is very similar to the Character Cards of the basic game, but
still has some small differences, which are explained in more detail below.

Figure 2 - Isgerim Card

The following information can be found on Isegrim's Character Card:

1. Picture and name.
2. Developmental stage of the wolf.
3. Isegrim's combat ability, which he can use in combat if you play a
corresponding Action Card (see Rb. 6.2.1.1.5).
4. Isegrim’s check ability, which he can use to assist the character during a check,
if you play a corresponding Action Card (see Rb. 5.1.4.1).
5. Isegrim’s exploration ability, which he can use in Exploration Phase (see Rb. 5).
6. If the wolf receives special abilities, the corresponding symbol is displayed in
this area (see Rb. 6.3.4).
7. Isegrim’s status values, which are used in combat. Only the Regeneration value
is also used in the Rest Phase. It indicates the amount of HP that is healed
when Isegrim eats a provision.

There is a new type of card symbol on the Z- and Y-cards. An exclamation mark
indicates an instant event. These events are independent of the location of the game
characters. If a card with an instant event would be placed in the Encounter Bar
during a chapter change, it is immediately revealed and resolved.

Figure 3 – Isegrim’s Action Card

The Action Cards have two small 'wolf' symbols in the blue area. This allows the
Action Cards to be distinguished from those of the character.

To use this expansion in the game, the following steps must be performed:
1. The card Z30 is added to Chapter 1 of the Storybook Deck during game setup.
This card is an Instant Event and is resolved as soon as the card would be
placed in the Encounter Track.

A fight is not considered lost until both game characters have 0 HP.

Compared to fighting with just the character, there are slight adjustments when
Isegrim is included. These changes are described in the following subchapters.
Depending on which phase of the game one or both of the game characters lose all
Hit Points, the game proceeds differently. This is explained below:

There are the following two ways to deal with the injured wolf:
o Perform 'Damage in the Exploration' (see Rb. 7.2.1) and heal both game
characters completely. The character nurses the wolf back to health.
o The character can carry the wolf as an item. It occupies either the
character's hand slots or a space in the character's Inventory Card. Turn
Isegrim’s Character Card upside down accordingly and slide it under the
Character Card or Inventory Card. Isegrim cannot be removed, stolen,
or sold by any encounters.
The character must carry Isegrim until he heals him with a provision in
the Rest Phase or buys him a meal in an inn (see Rb. 5.2.2.1.1) or
tavern. If Isegrim receives a provision in the Rest Phase, he heals hit
points according to his Regeneration value.
If another combat occurs while Isegrim is still injured, then the
character must fight that combat alone.

In Adventure Mode, the following things are changed:

1. Isegrim gives the following bonuses or maluses depending on its stage of
development:
