Summary

This study entitled “THE IMPACT OF SLANG LANGUAGE TO THE

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY OF HUMSS STUDENTS OF RIZAL COLLEGE OF

TAAL” mainly focused on investigating the impact of slang language to the

English proficiency of HUMSS students of Rizal College of Taal during the school

year 2022-2023. Majority of the respondents are female and were aged 17 years

old. The majority of students agreed that slang language can have both positive

and negative effects on their English proficiency, while also acknowledging its

positive role in creating good relationships with others who share the same slang

language. Results revealed a significant relationship between students' attitudes

towards the impact of slang language and its effect on their speaking

communication skills. To address this, an action plan was proposed to further

activities and regular assessments to monitor progress.
