By the end of the sub strand the teacher trainee should be able to:

b) evaluate the merits and demerits of audio and aural learning resources
c) classify audio and aural learning resources in the learning process
d) evaluate the use of audio and aural resources in the learning process
e) acknowledge the use of audio and aural resources in learning,
Suggested Learning Experiences
Teacher trainees:
• discuss the importance of using audio and aural learning resources
• debate on the merits and demerits of audio and aural learning resources
• use digital devices among other resources to search for the different types of audio and aural
learning resources
• discuss different types of audio and aural resources for learning including the radio.
• select and arrange the different types of audio and aural resources
• in groups, develop a mind map giving a summary of the merits and demerits audio and aural
learning resources.

AURAL- Is a means of or relating to sense of hearing
Audio- media are materials or sounds that are transmitted, produced or received thru high fidelity waves that are
heard thru certain equipments
Audio Aids examples are Radio, Tape-recorder, Gramophone, Audio cassette player
