Procedure for
SUBJECT: Babysitting procedure

Objective:

Babysitting follows a procedure to provide a secure environment for the babies of guests who would like
to avail of these services during the course of their stay.

Procedure:

1-All guest requests for baby-sitting service should be directed to the Housekeeping.

2-Desk Coordinator or AEHK has to make arrangements.

3-Guest requesting for the services should be politely asked these questions.

Name-

Room number-

Date and time for which the service is required -

Length of time the baby-sitter is required -

Number and age of kids (not more than two children per baby sitter)

4- The above information should be taken and passed to the AEHK/ Executive Housekeeper for
baby sitter selection and confirmation.

A- The assigned baby-sitter should be brought and introduced to the guest by the Supervisor,
5minutes before the agreed time.

B-The baby-sitting form approved by the Executive Housekeeper should be presented upon
meeting the guest.

5-The following guidelines apply:

A -maximum of two children per baby-sitter is allowed. Additional children will require the
booking of an additional baby-sitter.

B- No “overnight” service will be considered.

C-No baby-sitting for a sick baby will be provided without the presence of the guest.
D-Baby-sitting services will be chargeable at an hourly rate as established from time to time. The
charge will be SR. 100/- per hour. Each additional hour is chargeable at full hour rate after a half
of an hour.

E- The guest will be requested to sign a “Baby-Sitting Request”. Hourly rates and charges will be
mentioned on the form.

6-Payment to the baby sitter will be made upon receipt of the baby sitter’s signature on a Hotel
paid out voucher i.e. in accordance with the front office procedures. in case the Baby sitter does
babysitting while on duty, the entire charges will go to the hotel; if she does baby-sitting while
off duty, then 50% charges go to her, while 50% to the hotel.

7- During the baby-sitting service, any problems or difficulties should be immediately reported
to the Shift In charge/ Duty Manager.
