Message for 2023 INSET

To our beloved principal and fellow teachers, a pleasant afternoon to you all!

Today marks the culmination of the 5-day In-service training. Indeed, the training
gives us an equal opportunity to be trained, upgraded, and more inspired as we
teach our learners. Tunay naman na maipagmamalaki natin ang bonggang efforts
natin lahat sa pagtitiyak na nagpapatuloy ang pagbabago sa edukasyon. And I
coined the acronym for INSET, which is INSET: Informative and Nurturing
Sessions to Empower Teachers. I have always believed in empowerment. I always
believe that people deserve. to be empowered. THANK YOU, Sir Rbee, for giving
us opportunities, allowing my colleagues to be the resource speakers, and
imparting their knowledge and fruitful insights they gained from the training they
attended at the division or regional level.

The training goal is ultimately to change the way people see themselves.
Remember that training would want to see us changing our mindset, changing the
words that we use, and of course, changing our practices. So, are we ready for the
change? The key is to empty our cups and be prepared to be filled up. Please take it
to be a happy experience. In this training, we are here to lift each other. Because as
we raise others, and as you allow other people to shine brightly, your star will
shine as bright, and you will become a north star. And that is very important. As a
teacher, I believe in the mantra happy teachers make happy learners, and joyful
learners with happy stories every day, and these happy stories make Filipino
families. Hold on and fight for their dreams. As our Deped Secretary and VP Sara
said: MATATAG: Bansang Makabata, Batang Makabansa.

Lastly, for us to succeed, let us believe in our hearts that whatever we do, we do it
all for the glory of God because, in the end, our accountability as a teacher and
as human beings doesn’t stop with our earthly leaders. Let us never forget
that whatever we do here on earth has a far greater resonance in our eternity.
