NOTICE
2.1 Equip learners with theoretical and practical accounting practices that prepare
them for the accounting and financial profession.
2.2 Give learners the knowledge and capabilities they need to sustain their interest in
the accounting field.
2.3 Promote Chartered Accountancy as a career option for learners.
3.1 The camp targets learners who offer Mathematics and Accounting at Grade
12 in 2024.
3.2 The learners who qualify to attend should have passed Mathematics and
Accounting at 60% and above at Grade 11 in 2023.
3.3 All selected learners should be drawn from previously disadvantaged communities
(especially African and Coloured) in order to satisfy SAICA requirements.
3.4 It is important to ensure that the selection of learners is spread across all CMCs in
the district.

4. Allocation of participants per district
The number of learners to be selected by each district is given in the table below. It is
determined by using the participation rate for Accounting in each district.

5. Documents to be submitted
All selected learners should submit the following documents for approval:
5.1 SAICA application form.
5.2 Certified ID copy or Birth Certificate.
5.3 2023 Grade 11 school report.
6.1 Annexure A on page 4 with names of selected learners and gender should be
submitted to the Accounting/Maths advisor in each district by 3 May 2024.
6.2 All schools should submit hard copies of the required documents for selected
learners to the Accounting/Maths advisor in each district by 10 May 2024.
6.3 All Accounting/Maths advisors should submit all documents received from schools
to sistern@saica.co.za at SAICA for the attention of Sister Ntsele: Camp
Manager on or before Friday the 17th of May 2024.
8. Transportation of learners
All districts will be responsible for the transportation of selected learners to and
from the camp on the dates provided in 6 above.

9. It is important that all accepted learners complete the necessary indemnity forms
as prescribed by the KZNDoE guidelines.
