Interviews will be held for the Selection of Team Members from 25 th March 2024 and 27th March 2024.

Interviews will be held by Department Heads and their Directors & Assistant Directors as per the following
schedule:

Attending the interviews is compulsory for selection into teams. If someone cannot attend, they must message
the Director for Human Resource by 1400 hours on Monday, 25/3/2024 so that an on-line interview can be
arranged.

Team Members will be provisionally notified soon after the last interview, after which they will be required to
fill in the team registration form and clear their dues by

UNDERSTANDING OF THE HIERARCHY:


The Directorate is the Implementation Branch of CMH Model United Nations and regulates many of the day-to-
day activities essential for the Event, except for Debate which is regulated by the Secretariat. The Directorate
Branch is headed by the Director-General [★★], who is assisted by six Directorate Executive Officers [★] each
of whom head a Department consisting of one-to-four teams, and answers to the President [★★★] and Staff
Cabinet [★★★★] of CMHMUN. There are a total of 18 teams in the Directorate. The Directorate Branch colors
are red-and-gold

PORTFOLIO DESCRIPTIONS

DEPARTMENT FOR EVENT MANAGEMENT


a. Logistics:
i. This team is responsible for all Logistical Requirements and for large scale
procurements at CMHMUN;
b. Discipline:
i. This team is responsible for the creation of a safe and friendly environment at
CMHMUN by the enforcement of the Discipline part of the Discipline & Ethics
Code and has Disciplinary Powers;
c. Décor:
i. This team is responsible for creativity and aesthetics to the event. Working closely
with the logistics team, they are responsible for transforming the college venue into
an engaging and inspiring environment, elevating the overall experience for delegates
and attendees;
d. Hospitality:
i. This team is responsible for the arrangement accommodation of Chairs and
Delegates/Participants;
DEPARTMENT FOR ADMINISTRATIVE AFFAIRS
e. Operations:
i. This team is responsible for all the rooms provided by the College to CMHMUN;
ii. This team is responsible for Secretarial Requirements (eg. Timekeepers, Committee
Room Logistics etc.);
iii. This team also has Disciplinary Powers when the situation requires;
f. Socials:
i. This team is responsible for the arrangement of socials;
g. Stall Management:
i. This team is responsible for the upkeep and coordination with the stalls at
CMHMUN;
h. Welfare:
i. This team is responsible for the welfare of the Directorate and other teams at
CMHMUN. Specific duties include:
1. Controlling Access to the Secretariat Lounge
2. Controlling access to the Directorate Lounge
3. Distribution of Team Lunches
4. Maintaining a First-Aid Kit at an easily accessible place with supplies of
essential medications
a. These requirements will be conveyed to Team Logistics Prior to the
Event Date
DEPARTMENT FOR COORDINATION
i. Crisis & Coordination:
i. This team serves as the reserve team at CMHMUN providing assistance to all teams
upon request to the Directorate Secretary;
ii. This team assists the Directorate Secretary in the discharge of their duties and aid in
official communications;
iii. This team also has Disciplinary Powers when the situation requires;

j. Coverage:
i. This team is responsible for the official photography and videography of the event
and pre-event preparation;
k. Information & Technology:
i. This team is responsible for the creation of media posters and videos/transitions/reels
for the event;
ii. This team is responsible for the design of all awards, certificates, digital/printed
décor;
l. Media:
i. This team is responsible for the management of the media pages and other primarily
non-DSLR photography and videography;
m. Publications:
i. This team is responsible for the phrasing of captions for posts and wording of all
media matters, including registration booklets and other public release material apart
from Official Applications and Notifications

DEPARTMENT FOR REGISTRATIONS


n. External Registrations:
i. This team is responsible for the registration of delegates, observers and other
participants to the event;
o. Internal Registrations:
i. This team is responsible for the registration of internal team members and the sales of
separate socials tickets;
p. Human Resource:
i. This team is responsible for the back-end maintenance of data records and cross-
checking of registration records;

q. Finance:
i. This team is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records,
conducting audits and financial analyses, and providing financial guidance to the
organization;
r. Marketing:
i. This team is responsible for the securing of sponsorships, food stalls and other
financial income except those defined under the Department of Registrations or
College Grants;
