Lebanon has been experiencing an economic crisis for years and does not have access to currency.

Although Lebanon has access to the most water in the entire middle east, it is toxic and you cannot
drink/ clean yourself with this water.

Familys rely on bottled water for drinking and hygiene and spend over 30% of there monthly salary just
on safe water.

The water providers in Lebanon cannot afford maintenance to there water treaters or fuel to power
them.

They have unstable and unpredictable power which causes black outs.

The water in Lebanon is toxic because of untreated sewerage and a toxic spill from a dump in 2015, and
many people rely on bottled water to clean/drink however the supply of this water is low.

After the beruit explosion many families lost there jobs and from April 2021 1 in five familys could not
afford the basic neccesisties to live such as water

Mental health is also rapidly declining due to the lack of water and everyone is in a state of [anic and
stress.
