Caring for your DVD ...

Handle a DVD more carefully than a CD. DVDs contain much more information, packed much
more densely, than a CD, so small scratches and fingerprints are more likely to cause damage or
problems reading the DVD. Even a small scratch in the wrong place may render the entire DVD
unusable.

Do not bend or twist discs.

Do not allow small children to handle the disc.

Handle discs only from the edges and the center hole.

Do not touch the disc surface and do not stack discs.

Make sure the DVD is properly seated in the tray before closing the door.

Insert discs into your player with the artwork facing up.

Always store the disc in its protective case. If you must set the disc down outside its case, always
set with the artwork down, shiny side up.

Keep discs away from extreme heat or direct sunlight.

Do not use any abrasive solvents or cleaning solutions.

If you begin to notice skipping or noise in the picture your DVD may require cleaning.

When cleaning is necessary, wipe discs gently only in a spoke-like, radial direction (a straight
line between the hub and the rim), NOT in a circular motion. Use only a clean, soft, lint-free
cloth; not a Kleenex or other paper product. If necessary, you may use a weak solution of glass
cleaner to remove stubborn fingerprints. Be sure the disc is totally free of cleaning solution
before attempting to play. Be careful when using cleaning solution; the printed surface of the disc
may be damaged by it.

Your DVD was created with DVD-R technology. While this is compatible with nearly all DVD
players on the market today, there are some players, both new and old, which may have problems
reading the DVD.
