Subject: Enhanced Security Measures and Student Pickup Protocols

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. Given the current security situation and in
anticipation of the upcoming General Elections, we are implementing enhanced security measures to
ensure the safety and well-being of our students and staff.

Important student pickup protocols are listed below:

Mandatory Student ID Cards:

It is imperative that the person picking up a student presents the student's ID card. Without this, the
student will not be handed over. Please ensure that your child's ID card, issued in the first term, is always
available for this purpose.
Restricted Premises Access:
Parents and drivers are not permitted to enter the school premises. This is a crucial step to maintain the
safety and security of all students. Drivers after handing over the students’ ID card will wait in the allocated
area.
Designated Staff at Gates:
Our trained staff will be stationed at the school gates to assist in the safe handover of students. They will
verify the identities of individuals picking up students.
No Gate Passes:
We are strictly not recommending gate passes. In case your child’s ID card is not yet made, we urge you
to have it created by January 31, 2024.
Waiting at Barriers:
Parents are requested to wait at the designated barriers inside the gate for the handover of their children.
Drivers are asked to stay out and hand over the ID card, as per the routine practice.
Emergency Contact Information:
Please ensure that your emergency contact details are up-to-date with the school office. In case of a
change, kindly fill out new Emergency Contact form available at the section offices.
Visitor Entrance:
All visitors must enter from our main Gate i.e. Gate 1 by filling out the log book. A phone call confirming
your appointment will be made to ascertain availability of staff members. Parents with appointments will
be allowed to park near Gate 1.
Pre Junior Parking:
Pre Junior parents are allotted a parking near Gate 2. Parents are requested to hand over the child to staff
present near the gate. Kindly refrain from proceeding beyond the barrier placed at the gate.

We assure you that the school has taken all necessary measures to strengthen security within our
campuses. This includes increased surveillance, rigorous visitor management, well-trained security
personnel, and robust emergency response protocols. Furthermore, visitor cars are not permitted on the
premises. All staff cars have an allotted sticker with staff members wearing a school provided ID and
lanyard.

Your cooperation in these matters is essential for the effectiveness of these security measures. We also
maintain close communication with local law enforcement agencies to stay informed and prepared for
any situation.

We understand that these measures may cause some inconvenience, but the safety of our students is our
