society is blinded to see the positive uses marijuana is capable of; ignoring that legalization would be a

used for medical purposes, it will boost the economy and because is not a lethal drug. Doctors have
agreed that marijuana is a much better remedy to many conditions. Marijuana provide relief from pain,
nausea, spasticity, and other symptoms for many individuals who have not been treated successfully
with conventional medications. But the important facts of marijuana are, high doses of marijuana may
result in image distortion, loss of personal identity, and hallucinations.

The abuse of marijuana also can cause serious physical and mental problems including frequent
respiratory infections, impaired memory and learning ability, increased heart rate, anxiety, and panic
attacks.

Legalizing marijuana in the Philippines could have both economic and social impacts. Economically, it
could create a new market with potential revenue that can benefit the national economy.
