Introduction

 Etabs software is civil engineering software used to analyse and design of

building structure.
 Etabs- Extended three dimensional analysis of building systems
 It can be done only for building structures only but not for bridges ,dams
etc,.
 Etabs allows us to perform the following:
 Linear:- linear behaviour of materials and connections
 Non linear:- displacements & material yeilding
Including static , dynamic , time – history analysis & behaviour of structures..
• Overview of e-tabs

 E-tabs software cannot do analyse structures like

bridges , dams &towers etc,.
 As shown , the very first tab of this software will
appear.
 There will be totally three pictures appear when
we go to 3D view in it . The first one shows the
entire building, the second one shows the floor
which we are working on and third one shows
the exact location so that we could make
changes or do draw in this.
 Graphical user interface

 GUI- Graphical User Interface

 The GUI in Etabs typically consists of various
windows and panels where users can
create and modify the structural model,
define material properties, apply loads and
boundary conditions, run analysis, and
review analysis results such as
displacements, stresses, and forces through
graphical representations like diagrams,
plots, and 3D renderings.
 The “enhanced directX graphics” is the
real- time experience in GUI.
Product interactions

 The products work with other

BIM software to provide
efficient,integrated & open
design workflows is simply
known as product interactions.
 Autodesk , Revit , Tekla
Structures , AutoCAD etc,. are
all supported in this product
interactions.
