ALX Ventures Intern-at-a-Startup Program

About ALX Ventures:

ALX Ventures is on a mission to empower African entrepreneurs to launch successful


businesses that create 1 million jobs by 2030. We design and implement a variety of programs
to achieve this goal, while also fostering a cultural shift among young Africans to view
entrepreneurship as a desirable and viable career path, not just a backup plan.

Program Overview:

The ALX Ventures Intern-at-a-Startup Program is an immersive internship experience


designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application in the
innovative startup world. The program will provide students with an unparalleled opportunity
to engage with real-world challenges, drive meaningful impact, and develop critical skills
essential for success in the startup ecosystem. The internship duration is three months from
mid March to mid June 2024 and is unpaid.

Internship Tracks:

● Tech Intern: support a startup founder with product development and/or automation.
● Creative Intern: support a startup founder with UX/UI, marketing materials and/or
social media management.
● Sales Intern: support a startup founder with sales outreach and/or CRM set up.

Requirements:

● Enrollment: Alumni or current learner at ALX or ALU.


● Commitment: Available to dedicate a minimum of 15 hours per week for a three-month
period to maximize the learning experience.
● Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and a keen interest in navigating the
dynamic and fast-paced environment of startups.
● Communication: Possess strong communication skills and an ability to work
collaboratively within diverse teams.
● Passion: Display a genuine passion for startups, entrepreneurship, and innovation, with
a desire to make a positive impact.
