1. Explore the effect of introducing a new character into a story.


Objective 2. Trace a character's personal journey.
3. Discuss different interpretations of a story.

By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:

Learning 1. Comment on the effect of introducing a new character into a story.


outcome (s) 2. Explain how a character develops and changes throughout a story.
3. Participate in an effective discussion about how readers respond to
texts.

1. Students are greeted by the teacher.


2. The students are asked to clear their desk and get their learner’s
book.
3. The teacher will begin the lesson by asking the students questions
while reviewing the prior lesson.
4. Followed by the teacher introducing them to the new topic. The

step to guess which character that is. After that, the teacher will ask
“Did you notice any similarities between the characters?”’
5. The teacher will then introduce the importance of secondary
characters and provide them few examples of what kind of effect
the characters have.
6. Students will continue to read Extract 1 and answer Question 1 in
their exercise book.
