Create shapes showing a basic level of stillness using
different parts of their bodies.
Learning Activities:
Starter:
Warm-up exercises:
High knees.
Jumping jacks.
Side hops.
Walking lunges.
First two days activity:
Nature-Inspired Shapes: Take students outside and
encourage them to find inspiration from nature to create
shapes with their bodies. They can mimic trees, animals,
flowers, or natural formations.
Next two days activity:
Yoga Poses: Practise basic yoga poses, such as the tree
pose, cobra pose, or mountain pose. Have them hold each
pose for a certain amount of time, focusing on their balance
and stillness.
Follow the Leader: Choose a leader who moves around the
playing area in different patterns and speeds. The other
students must follow the leader, adjusting their movements
to match the leader's actions.
Closer:
Race: Students are divided into groups of 8 to 10. They move in their own line adapting different movements; rolling,
crawling, walking, jumping, running, hopping, etc.
