I am a student in software engineering in Benin, a developing country.

I am very interested in
software development. I would like to build data-intensive applications. So they need to optimize as
much as possible. After some research, I discovered that mastering algorithms and data structures
are the ultimate way I can do that. Thus, I started looking for free online courses to get started.
Fortunately, I discovered that there is a very good course on the topic on Coursera, one of the best e-
learning platforms in the world. I am from a poor family and can't pay for this course myself. Indeed, I
have to help my parents pay my school fees. Then, I do spare time jobs. Indeed, I work in a shop. This
job helps me a lot, but exhausts me too. I am pretty sure that increasing the number of hours
dedicated to it will have bad consequences on my school performance. Because of this situation, I
pledge for financial aid to help me follow this course. I am sure that acquiring these skills in Data
structures and algorithms, will help me a lot in my studies.
