The House
A month ago we bought a house for a very good price. We
were happy when we found the house because it was a very big one.
However, it seemed to have been empty for many years. No one knew
the house’s old story.

When I went to sleep and switched off all the lights,

strange things started to happen. First, the books started to fly off
the book shelf. Then the lights started to flicker. I also heard
footsteps coming from the roof. I woke my parents but they said
that they were very tired and fell asleep. They asked me to sleep in
their room.

The next morning, I went to the roof to look for some clues.
I found a wooden box filled with pieces of old newspapers in the
room on the roof. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I started reading
them. They were about a ten year old girl who used to live in this
house. The girl was killed by a burglar when her parents were not at
home. I was frightened when I finished reading them.

We found out that the ghost of the girl haunted this house.
This was the most frightening experience of my life. Once again we
began searching for a new home.
