B. Directions: Read the story below. Choose the correct answer from the choices and write it on the
space provided.
Ollie, an octopus with only seven legs, was teased about her missing leg by her brothers and sisters for seven
years. Ollie's brother Oscar wouldn't let her play games like tag and hide and go seek, so Ollie searched the
ocean for a friend with an extra leg. One day, Ollie found a treasure chest full of jewels in the seaweed. Ollie's
mother promised her that she would grow another leg on her eighth birthday, making her never lonely.
On her eighth birthday, Ollie woke up with only seven legs and cried. A sea fairy appeared, wishing Ollie the
luckiest octopus three wishes. Ollie's wishes were granted, and she was given a pearl necklace, a delicious
cake, and an invitation to share it with all the sea creatures. Olivia, the oldest, forgot it was her birthday, but
Ollie was grateful. Her mother swam over to her daughter with a red birthday balloon, celebrating her eighth
leg.
