Classification of Features for detecting Phishing Web Sites

based on Machine Learning Techniques

Abstract:
Phishing is one of the most common and dangerous attacks among cybercrimes.
The aim of this attack is to hack the user information by accessing the credentials
that is used by individuals and any of the organizations. Phishing websites contents
and web-based information contains various hints. The victim’s confidential data is
expected by the phishing sites by deriving them to surf a phishing website that
resembles to legitimate website, which is one of the criminal attacks prevailing in
the internet. Phishing websites is similar to cyber threat that is targeting to get all
the credential-based information such as information accessed from the credit cards
and social security numbers. Till now there is no specific solution that can detect
phishing attacks and also truly unpredictable which includes numerous components
and also criteria that are not stable. The purpose of this project is to perform
Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) based classification for 30 features including
Phishing Websites Data in UC Irvine Machine Learning Repository database. There
are different types of features based on web pages. Hence, to prevent phishing
attacks we must use a specific web page feature. We proposed a model based on
machine learning techniques like Naïve Bayes to detect phishing web pages. For
results assessment, ELM was compared with other machine learning methods such
as Naïve Bayes (NB), ANN and detected to have the highest accuracy of 89.3%
Agricultural Crop Recommendations based on Productivity
and Season

Abstract
As a coastal state, Tamil Nadu faces uncertainty in agriculture which decreases its
production. With more population and area, more productivity should be achieved
but it cannot be reached. Farmers have words-of-mouth in past decades but now it
cannot be used due to climatic factors. Agricultural factors and parameters make the
data to get insights about the Agri-facts. Growth of IT world drives some highlights
in Agriculture Sciences to help farmers with good agricultural information.
Intelligence of applying modern technological methods in the field of agriculture is
desirable in this current scenario. Machine Learning Techniques develops a well-
defined model with the data and helps us to attain predictions. Agricultural issues
like crop prediction, rotation, water requirement, fertilizer requirement and
protection can be solved. Due to the variable climatic factors o f the environment,
there is a necessity to have a efficient technique to facilitate the crop cultivation and
to lend a hand to the farmers in their production and management. This may help
upcoming agriculturalists to have a better agriculture. A system o f
recommendations can be provided to a farmer to help them in crop cultivation with
the help o f data mining. To implement such an approach, crops are recommended
based on its climatic factors and quantity. Data Analytics paves a way to evolve
useful extraction from agricultural database. Crop Dataset has been analyzed and
recommendation o f crops is done based on productivity and season.
Prediction of Diabetic Retinopathy Based on Risk Factors
Using Machine Learning Algorithms

Abstract

Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) is an eye condition triggered by Diabetes Mellitus

(DM). It could be detrimental to diabetic patients since it may lead to permanent
blindness if they do not receive early treatment. However, the risk of getting DR
among DM patients can be preliminarily identified using patients' risk factors,
including age, gender, body mass index (BMI), systemic comorbidities and DM-
related complications. This paper presents the prediction of diabetic retinopathy
using machine learning algorithms based on risk factors. Data collection was
obtained from the Department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medicine, UiTM. The
data is then processed and trained using machine learning algorithms such as
logistic regression, support vector machine, and k-nearest neighbour. These
machine-learning algorithms are executed with different parameters and yield
different sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy values based on the training and
testing data. The logistic regression model with a random state value of 11 and
training and testing sizes in the ratio of 90:10 has achieved 83.78% accuracy, the
highest accuracy of other models. Then, we develop a web-based application that
will later assist healthcare organisations in predicting DR among patients and
enhancing the DR screening workflow without executing the eye screening
procedure. This system implementation aims to assist medical staff, doctors,
physicians, and at-risk patients.
