Tardiness is the state or quality of being tardy.

It refers to the students who

always
arrive late in class and act or move slow. A tardy student presents a lack of
responsibility.
Being habitually late in class shows disrespect towards the teachers and the
school's rules
and regulations. Being on time is not only a must do or duty for students, but also
a part of
respect, good manners, and being responsible. The tardiness of a student also
disturbs other
students and the teacher, distracting the flow of the discussion of the whole
class. All in
all, the tardiness of a student has a lot of disadvantages that's why students
should eliminate
the cause regarding tardiness.
The purpose of this study is to identify the reasons and explanations to have
further
understanding about student's tardiness because this kind of problem affects the
academic
performance of students in school. And that's why the researchers came up and
decided to
conduct a research to pin-point the tardiness of Grade l1 Senior High School
students.
