INTRODUCTION
 Attitude in radiographic post operative assesment
of dental implant.
 Implant prosthetic rehabilitation has become
widespread in clinical practice over the last 20
years.
 Dental implants showing great success rates in
the management of complete or partial Edentulis.
 Periapical and panoramic radiographs represent
accessible, quickly and low-cost Office maging
technology available in almost every dental
office.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

 The aims of this cross-sectional study


were to investigate these habits and
the knowledge about radiographic
aspect of retrograde peri-implantitis
(RPI) among dentists.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
 This research study was conducted in
Marathwada from January to March 2024.
 We aimed to evaluate dental professionals
knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding
radiographic post operative assesment of dental
implant in Marathwada.
 Two hundred and fifteen registered dental
practitioners participated in the cross-sectional
close-ended questionnaire-based survey.
 The questionnaire was conducted
the previous studies which contains
4 multiple choice questions
regarding the radiographic post
operative assesment of implant.
 This questionnaire was distributed
through online portal (Google
forms) the data of 250 filled Google
forms was analysed.
RESULTS
 Which radiograph do you perform after implant
placement?
 How is the radiographic aspect of retrograde peri-
implantitis?
 When do you perform the control x-ray after
implant placement?
 Is the modern and advance imaging faculty of CT scan,CBCT,
OPG is available around your place of practice?
DISCUSSION
 Over the years, radiographic imaging has become a
fundamental tool in dentistry, in particular in implant
dentistry.
 Where it is used to assess bone height, bone resorption,
the proximity of the maxillary sinus floor, and/or the
neurovascular landmarks .
 The aim of this cross-sectional survey was to investigate
the attitude and the habits of a population of dentists
in radiographic imaging in implant dentistry and their
knowledge about the radiographic aspect of retrograde
peri-implantits
 Based on the results of our study, intraoral
periapical X-ray is the most widespread
radiography performed which is similar to
studies B Dii murro.
 Based on results our study the majority of
dentist performe x-ray immediately after
surgeryWhich is similar to studies AS
Lingam.
 For the radiographic aspects of retrograde
peri-implamtitisWhich is similar to studies
PA Monsour.
CONCLUSIONS
 The appropriateness of radiographic prescription
habits among dentists is extremely important.
 Radiography is considered the most used
diagnostic tool in dentistry, accounting for
almost a quarter of total X-rays in the medical
field worldwide.
 The proper and rapid diagnosis of peri-implant
diseases and implant post-operative
complications is of paramount importance for
long-term implant survival and sucsucces.
