Interior/Exterior Alkyd undercoat
Description and uses A high hiding, alkyd enamel undercoat designed as a first coat on new wood as well as
previously painted surfaces. The fine holdout qualities of this product eliminate variation in
the gloss of the finish coat of high gloss or semi high gloss enamels. Use on doors, trim,
molding, cement surfaces, paneling, siding and hardboard. This product has excellent
adhesion and holds out, resists staining and is easy to sand.

Type: A solvent type, alkyd enamel
Spreading rate: Suggested: 30-35 m²/gallon, depending on the method of application and the porosity of the
surface.
Theoretical, no loss: 72m² /Gal @1.0 mil dry

Interior /Exterior Alkyd undercoat
Thinning: Thin with white spirit 25-50% or more by volume depending on surface porosity.
Stir paint thoroughly.
Application Tools: This product may be applied by any of the following recommended methods
1. Airless spray: Pressure: 2000PSI Tip: 0.021˝
2. Conventional spray: Air Pressure: 40-60 PSI Fluid pressure: 10- 20 PSI

3. Brush: Use a natural bristle brush .
4. Roller: Use a 3/8˝ - 3/4˝ synthetic or lamb wool roller cover.
