Description and uses
A high hiding, alkyd enamel undercoat designed as a first coat on new wood as well as
previously painted surfaces. The fine holdout qualities of this product eliminate variation in
the gloss of the finish coat of high gloss or semi high gloss enamels. Use on doors, trim,
molding, cement surfaces, paneling, siding and hardboard. This product has excellent
adhesion and holds out, resists staining and is easy to sand.

Flash point: 105°F or 40°C (Pensky-Martin closed Cup)

Shelf life: 3 years unopened @ 77°F or 25°C

Recommended film thickness: 4 mils wet 2.3 mils dry

Spreading rate: Suggested: 30-35 m²/gallon, depending on the method of application and the porosity of the
surface.
Theoretical, no loss: 72m² /Gal @1.0 mil dry

Drying time: (temperature & humidity dependent)

@ 77°F or 25°C & 50% RH, 4.0 mils wet.
Dust free: 4-6 hrs. Recoat: 24hrs.

Packaging: In cylindrical containers of the following capacities:

1 Quart = 0.95 liters
1U.S Gallon = 3.785 liters
1 Pail = 5 U.S. gallons = 18.925 liters

Application Condition: Temperature (air, Surface, material): 50°F-100°F or (5°C-50°C)

At least 5°F above dew point
Relative humidity (maximum): 85%

Methods of application Stir paint well by boxing and stirring.

Thinning: Thin with white spirit 25-50% or more by volume depending on surface porosity.
Stir paint thoroughly.

Application Tools:
This product may be applied by any of the following recommended methods
1. Airless spray: Pressure: 2000PSI Tip: 0.021˝
2. Conventional spray: Air Pressure: 40-60 PSI Fluid pressure: 10- 20 PSI
Fluid/Air Nozzle 704/FX
3. Brush: Use a natural bristle brush .
4. Roller: Use a 3/8˝ - 3/4˝ synthetic or lamb wool roller cover.

Precautions: Combustible. Keep away from heat and open flame.

Close container after each use.
Protect from freezing
Do not take internally.
Keep out of reach of children.
Use with adequate ventilation.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

Clean Up: All equipment should be cleaned with a mineral spirits.
