CVC ‘u’ Board Game

You will need:

• 2 or more players

• 1 dice

• Coloured counters (one colour per player)

• Laminated board and cut out laminated pictures to match the CVC
words which will be placed in the middle of the table.

Instructions
1. The children take turns to roll the dice and whoever gets the highest number goes first. The
person to their left goes next and so on. They place their counters on the ‘Start’ square.

2. The children look at the number on the dice and move that many squares.

3. They must sound out the CVC word and find the matching picture for that word.
They show the picture to the other players and they must agree on whether
it is right. They then put the picture back in the middle of the table.

4. If they get it right, they remain on the square they landed on. If
they get any part wrong, they move back one space.

5. The first child to the “Finish” square, wins.
