Page 90 NOTICE

 How did the students react to the activities/various elements to arouse their interest?
- The showing of images and filling in the missing letters arouse the interest of the students for it
is challenging yet an exciting learning activity in gaining learners attention.
There were some students who asked questions and actively participated through sharing their
ideas and insights. Of course, there were some students who were shy and prefer group and
pair activities.
 Were the students focused when you were stating the learning objectives at the beginning of
the lesson?
-Yes, the students listen attentively while I’m stating the learning objectives.
 How did the new learnings relate with what they really know?
-New learnings relate to their prior learning by sharing or expressing ideas and thoughts by
connecting their new learnings to their prior experiences and to the knowledge that they
already know. This helps learners to widen and broaden their knowledge.
 Did you notice some students who needed assistance? What did you do?
- Yes, there were students who needed assistance that is why I used both pair and group
activities. Students who were cautious and hesitant to raise questions and share thoughts during
discussions can now do so during peer teaching and group projects.
 Did the students find difficulty in applying the theories/concepts learned to real life?
-Not really, with my assistance, the learning style that I used in the class helps them conquer the
difficulty in applying the theories/concepts learned to their real lives. Through asking questions,
collaboration with their groups/peers, sharing of thoughts and ideas helps them gain confidence
and transform into the better version of themselves which showcase their qualities and
capabilities and become a competent/excellent learner.
 How did your students react to your feedback?
-Students responded well to my critique, accepting my ideas and recommendations on how to
make their work better in light of my criticisms.
 What pieces of evidence can prove that the students had retention of learning?
- Assessment is the evidence that proves that the students retained their learning. It’s either a
written, oral, or performance assessment. After my discussion, I give my students an
identification test, an enumeration test, a multiple-choice test, and an essay test. Sometimes
through oral recitation and performance. They got high scores, were able to answer my oral
questions, and performed correctly on my given tasks.

Page 94 REFLECT

The areas of the lesson that I need to improve is the consistency of attention and interest of the
students to my discussion/lesson. That is why we teachers and future teachers often looking for learning
style and strategies that can arouse and catch the attention and interest of the students the whole
period of the discussion. Gaining the attention of the students will help them increase their focus and
prevent their disruptive behavior. In that way, I can easily employ my instructional strategies and
learning management plan, distractions can also reduce.

ACTION RESEARCH

OBSERVE

- The problems/challenges I encountered in delivering my lessons are student engagement and

students’ distraction during the lesson.

REFLECT

- I hope to achieve to address these problems and challenges by with my Resource Teacher about their
suggestions and tips on how can I engage well my students and talking to the students why get
distracted during my lesson.

PLAN

-Some strategies/solutions/means that I can employ to improve these situations/problems is to seek

information in the web such as google or YouTube on how to have strong engagement/interaction to my
students and strategies to avoid student’s distraction during the class.
