WRITING

TASK 1
The two maps illustrate various changes of the Central Library has undergone for 20 years.
Looking at the map, it can be seen that the library has more layouts and reorganized rooms while
the entrance has unchanged.
Two decades ago, tables and chairs were placed in the middle of the library but they are no
longer there today. Meanwhile, to the left of the bottom there was a reading room containing
newspapers and magazines that is transformed into a computer room now. Above that there used
to be an opened area for adult fiction books that is alternative placed by all the library’s. The
final room located in the top of the left was CDs, videos and computer games but now the
children’s books area is moved from the oppostie corner and expanded to add facilities such as
sofa, storytelling events.
Additionally, the former of children’s books on the top of the right side of the library is now a
lecture room which is directly above adult fiction books, information desk and self-service
machines. The final room was enquiry desk containing tickets, book returns, etc that is replaced
by the café today.
