accessibility when choosing their hair accessories. Our business also considers
Facebook as a medium that lets our clients reserve or purchase goods online via
Facebook Messenger.

To effectively manage each order, we will create an order slip to easily keep
track of the orders received and have it assigned to one of our staff. This involves
regularly monitoring sales data, gathering feedback from customers, and conducting

Efficient inventory management is crucial for ensuring smooth operations and

We aim to attract customers to buy our products despite the price by considering

We will not spend anything or allocate funds to promote our business. We're
choosing to use social media platforms like Facebook and prioritizing the quality of our
products. This means our main focus will be on engaging our audience online and
showcasing our products through display tables whenever possible.

By utilizing Facebook, we can effectively reach a broad audience without needing


to invest heavily. These platforms offer us the opportunity to creatively display our hair
accessories, directly interact with potential customers, and gradually build a devoted
following. Moreover, participating in local events, and markets, or setting up pop-up
shops allows us to connect with customers in person, providing them with a tangible
experience with our products.
PRODUCTION PLAN

2.1 Production Process

Our business specializes in the production of various hair accessories, including


Long Ribbon Hair Clips, Long Ribbon Hair Ties, Mermaid Scrunchies, Kids Ribbon Hair
Clips, and Consider following the steps to produce a finished product.

Long Ribbon Hair Clip:

1. Prepare all the needed materials such as barrette clips, glue gun, needle,
thread, sewing machine, measuring tape, scissors, lighter, and electric iron.
2. Cut the fabric with the measurements of 40cm×15cm, 35cm×15 cm, and
6cm×12cm for the ribbon and 45cm×45cm for its tail.
3. Carefully burn the sides of the ribbon tail so the edges do not run and for the
ribbons to be able to be used for an extended period of time.
4. Sew the three measurements (refer to no.2) using the sewing machine.
5. By using the electric iron, press all the fabrics to make them neat.
6. Fold all the fabrics in half and press them to be used as guides to hand sew
them.
7. Place all the sewn fabrics together to form a ribbon and use the 6cm ×12cm
as a lock for all the fabrics.
8. Place and lock the barrette clips using the glue gun.

Long Ribbon Hair Tie:

1. Prepare all the needed materials such as needle, scissors, thread, measuring
tape, sewing machine, lighter, and electric iron.
2. Cut the fabric with the measurements of 40cm×15cm, 35cm×15 cm, and
6cm×12cm (for the ribbon), 45cm×45cm (for its tail), and 24in×3in (for the
scrunchie).
3. Carefully burn the sides of the ribbon tail so the edges do not run and for the
ribbons to be able to be used for an extended period of time.
4. Sew the three measurements (refer to no.2) using the sewing machine and
sew the scrunchie.
5. By using the electric iron, press all the fabrics to make them neat.
6. Fold all the fabrics in half and press them to be used as guides to hand sew
them.
7. Place all the sewn fabrics together to form a ribbon and use the 6cm ×12cm
as locks for all the fabrics.
8. Place and lock the scrunchie using the needle and thread.
Mermaid Scrunchies:

1. Prepare all the needed materials such as needle, measuring tape, scissors,
thread, sewing machine, lighter and electric iron.
2. Cut the fabric with the measurements 3.5in×24in (for the scrunchie), 45cm×
45cm (for its tail), and 6cm×12cm (for its lock).
3. Carefully burn the sides of the ribbon tail so the edges do not run and for the
mermaid scrunchie to be able to be used for an extended period of time.
4. Sew the lock measurement and sew the scrunchie using the sewing
machine.
5. By using the electric iron, press the lock and tail fabrics to make it neat.
6. Fold all the fabrics in half and press them to be used as guides to hand sew
them.
7. Place all of the sewn fabrics together to form a mermaid scrunchie and use
the 6cm×12cm as locks for the fabrics.
8. Place and lock the scrunchie using the needle and thread.

Kids Ribbon Hair Clip:

1. Prepare all the needed materials such as grosgrain ribbon, prong alligator
clips, glue gun, scissors, measuring tape, needle, thread, and lighter.
2. Cut the grosgrain ribbon with various measurements for varying size options:
5 inches long (for the 1inch size), 6 inches long (for the 1.5inch size), and 2
inches long (for the 1cm size).
3. Carefully burn the sides of the ribbon so the edges do not run and for the
ribbons to be able to be used for an extended period of time.
4. Fold all the fabrics in half and press them to be used as guides to hand sew
them.
5. Place all the sewn ribbons together and use the 2-inch long ribbon as the
lock for all the ribbons, then hand sew it.
6. Place and lock the prong alligator clips using the glue gun.

Scrunchies:

1. Prepare all the needed materials such as needle, measuring tape, thread,
sewing machine, garter, scissors, and safety pin.
2. Cut the fabric with the measurements 4in×24in for the scrunchie.
3. Sew the both ends of the fabrics.
4. Fold the fabric twice inside and sew the other ends of the fabric using the
sewing machine.
5. Gently pull the folded fabrics and continue sewing until you meet the other
end of the sewn part of the fabric and leave a 1-inch opening.
6. Cut the 7-inch long garter with the size of 1/4 inch and attach the safety pin.
7. Insert the garter with the safety pin as a guide into the opening and tie the
other end of the garter once the safety pin is out of the opening.
8. Lock the opening using the sewing machine.

By following this streamlined production process, we ensure that each of our hair
accessories meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship, delighting our
customers with every purchase.

2.2 Fixed Capital

Our products only require a sewing machine, electric iron, and glue gun.
Fortunately, we have the advantage of already owning the required equipment, which is
the sewing machine already owned by one of our members, and we will utilize one of
our member's premises as the location for our business activities. As a result, there are
no additional costs associated with acquiring the building or machinery, allowing us to
allocate our resources more efficiently toward other aspects of our business
development and growth.

2.3 Life of Fixed Capital

The useful life of buildings and machinery typically ranges from 10 to 20 years,
depending on factors such as maintenance, technological advancements, and wear and
tear. The building, which is the location of one of the members, provides a stable
infrastructure for operations, ensuring a secure environment for production processes.
On the other hand, the machinery is crucial for efficient production, as it enables
automation, precision, and scalability. Both components are essential for sustaining and
enhancing productivity, facilitating growth, and maintaining competitiveness in the
market.

2.4 Maintenance and Repairs

Maintenance for our hair accessories products will involve regular inspections for
wear and tear, cleaning (as needed), and ensuring proper storage to prevent damage.
Our maintenance protocols are designed to prolong the lifespan of the accessories and
maintain their quality. Additionally, we will provide customers with simple care
instructions to help them keep their accessories in optimal condition. Spare parts for any
repair needs will be readily and locally available to facilitate swift maintenance and
ensure uninterrupted enjoyment of our products. Moreover, maintenance for the
machinery will have to be conducted by experienced technicians to ensure optimal
performance of the needed equipment.
2.5 Sources of Equipment

The machinery needed for our business operations is already owned by one of
our team members, providing us with a great advantage. This equipment is readily
accessible, allowing us to begin production and develop our business without delay.
With this in-house resource, we can efficiently meet the demands of our customers and
achieve our growth objectives. Members can continue making the products in their own
houses only after the sewing machine is used and when hand sewing is needed.

We preferably use handiwork to create our hair accessories. The best way to
avoid squandering money was to use a member's existing equipment to produce our
hair accessories so we didn't have to purchase any new ones. Last but not least,
creating anything by hand adds value.

2.9 Factory Location and Lay-Out

Our product is made on our property, outside our classroom, during every class
dismissal, or in our spare time because we don't need a large factory to produce it.
Additionally, our target market includes girls between the ages of 2-30, with the
advantage of consumers such as students attending Naga National and Senior High
School. Moreover, the silk and clips utilized are easily purchased in e-stores (via
Shopee), making the materials quite accessible. Many local stores sell the goods we
need so we can easily acquire materials like cutters, glue sticks, and candles.

2.10 Raw Materials

We anticipate using a calculated amount of raw materials to meet production


demands efficiently. The required raw materials typically include 10 colors of fabrics, 25
pieces of barrette clips, 30 pieces of prong alligator clips, 10 color sets of grosgrain
ribbon, and garter, which are essential for our manufacturing process, and which will be
purchased online via shopee. By carefully managing our inventory and sourcing high-
quality materials, we aim to optimize production while minimizing waste and costs.
Other raw materials needed, such as glue gun, electric iron, needles and threads, and
sewing machine, are all owned by one of the members. Furthermore, in the production
process, 10 pieces of glue sticks are purchased in the stationary store nearby.

2.11 Cost of Raw Materials


Through strategic sourcing and supplier partnerships, we aim to secure
competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. The cost of raw materials for our
business is projected to be carefully monitored and optimized to ensure efficient
operations. The garter in shopee costs ₱69 for 1/4 kilo, and the fabrics ₱38-₱45 for
each meter, which is less in a textile shop that ranges around ₱60-₱70 per meter. We
paid ₱390 for the fabrics, ₱150 for a pack of barrette clips, and ₱60 for a pack of prong
alligator clips. We also purchased glue sticks for ₱29. Other raw materials did not cost
any amount, for it was already on hand and owned by one of the members. These
materials included the sewing machine, electric iron, measuring tape, scissors, needles,
and threads. We anticipate managing our raw material expenses effectively to support
profitability and sustainability in our operations.

2.12 Raw Materials Availability

For the raw materials, we primarily procure from online platforms such as
Shopee. These platforms offer a range of raw materials, including fabrics, barrette clips,
prong alligator clips, garters, and packaging materials, all essential for our production
processes. One significant advantage of sourcing from online platforms is the year-
round availability it will provide and the accessibility of the materials we need at any
time, regardless of season or external factors. This uninterrupted availability has been
crucial for our operations, as it allows us to maintain consistent production schedules
and meet customer demand without delays. Additionally, sourcing from online platforms
is proven cost-effective for our business. Overall, the accessibility, reliability, and cost-
effectiveness of online platforms have played a pivotal role in supporting our business's
success by ensuring a steady supply of raw materials even throughout the year.
Furthermore, other raw materials needed are already owned by one of the members,
which is always available in the production of the products.

2.13 Labor

We entrepreneurs have carefully considered the labor aspect of our operations.


Given that we are a cohesive group with diverse skills and expertise, we decided to
assign tasks for the production of our goods internally, which means that each member
of our team will be responsible for specific aspects of the production process, ensuring
that all necessary labor is accounted for without the need to hire additional employees.
As a result, we will not incur direct or indirect labor costs since we will utilize our skills
and resources. Since we won't have any employees, there won't be any deals to offer in
terms of labor agreements. This approach not only allows us to maintain control over
the quality of our products but also eliminates the need for additional expenses
associated with hiring and managing employees.

2.14 Cost of Labor


The cost of labor for our products will be minimal since we will handle production
tasks ourselves without hiring employees. As a team, we will assign tasks efficiently,
reducing the need for external labor expenses. By crafting the products in-house, we
can optimize resources and allocate funds to other aspects of our business
development. Therefore, our labor costs will be primarily associated with our own time
and effort, allowing us to maintain a lean operational structure and maximize
profitability.

2.15 Labour Availability

As a group, we entrepreneurs work well together. We do not require the


assistance of others since we manufacture and produce our products. However, time is
unstable, and occasionally, people can't contribute to the project for legitimate reasons.
In this matter, we can still manage to produce our items. We also create and
manufacture our product because each of us has a skilled hand in manufacturing it with
care, for it will be pleasing to each of our customers, even though some members are
not there and some only manufacture the products at their respective times. And
another way is that we entrepreneurs are independent in what we do.

Among the manufacturing overhead costs are depreciation of equipment and


tools, indirect materials, product materials, external administrative overhead, sales, and
marketing expenses. In addition, there is no rent cost associated with the production of

The production cost per unit would primarily consist of raw materials, indirect
materials, labor, and packaging or labelling needed for the final product. The total fixed
cost depends on the hair accessories we manufacture.
