Learning outcomes:
After completion of the course, the student will be able to:
Use established standards for producing orthographic and isometric drawings.
Use the concepts of spatial geometry for drawing projections of lines, planes and solids in
different positions and through different angles.
Use advanced concepts such as cut-sections useful for communicating internal details in
complex products.
Use the concept of development for aiding the manufacturing of sheet products.

Make – up policy:
For Lab Assignments, up to a maximum of 2 make ups may be arranged at the end of the semester from a
common pool of topics to cover up contingencies like illness or any other genuine reason. No additional make
up request beyond this will be entertained for what so ever is the reason. For evaluation components like Mid
and Comprehensive Examination, make up will be granted only if recommended by the medical team. Simple
prescription, self claim etc. will not be counted towards grant of this request. Further, as the students have to
upload their AutoCAD files on Quanta at the end of the examination, student has to carefully complete
the responsibility to upload it correctly. Students are expected to learn the practice of file upload to
Quanta thoroughly and sufficient time is provided to verify that the correct file is uploaded. Make up
cannot be granted, if the student uploads an empty, partial or incorrect file.
