101. Level Caps


101.1 - Pokémon may not go above Level 36 for week one.

101.2 - Pokémon may not go above Level 40 for week two.

101.3 - Pokémon may not go above Level 45 for week three.

101.4 - Pokémon may not go above Level 50 for week four.

101.5 - Pokémon may not go above Level 55 for week five.

101.6 - Pokémon may not go above Level 60 for week six.

101.7 - Pokémon may not go above Level 65 for week seven.

101.8 - Pokémon may not go above Level 100 for the playoffs.

102. Format

102.1 - The Format for all regular season matches is doubles, best of one.

102.2 - The Format for all playoff matches is doubles, best two of three.

103. Team Restrictions

103.1 - Each team can consist only of 8 total Pokémon from the draft pool.

103.2 - Only breedable Pokémon are allowed.

103.3 - Gigantamax/Dynamax is allowed.

103.4 - Eevee and all its evolutions are seperate draft picks.

103.5 - Hitmonlee, Hitmontop, and Hithonchan are seperate draft picks.

103.6 - Any Pokémon that has a basic form is pickable only in that generation and all
evolutions from it are also only pickable in that generation. (Example: if Zubat
originated in Generation 1 Crobat will be pickable and useable even if
Generation 4 is not in the pool).

104. Restriction Clauses

104.1 - Each Pokémon on a player's team must be holding different items.

104.2 - The player automatically wins if their pokémon uses selfdestruct or explosion
and knocks out all remaining pokémon.

104.3 - Each player can only have one pokémon asleep at one time (rest
or other self targeting moves does not affect this).
104.4 - No Specialized Items- A specialized item is a held item that only one specific
Pokemon gains a benefit from. These include but may not be limited to: Deep
Sea Scale, Deep Sea Tooth, Light Ball, Lucky Punch, Metal Powder, Quick
Powder, Soul Dew, Stick, and Thick Club.

105. Ban List

105.1 - Chatot is banned.

105.2 - Wobuffett is banned.

105.3 - Manaphy is banned.

2. Draft

201. General

201.1 - All rounds except the third round are regular. Round three is the Hidden
Ability round where the Hidden Ability Pokemon are chosen.

201.2 - During draft all specifics that regard to a pokemon being drafted must be stated
when it is drafted. This includes: gender, egg moves, required base moves,
specific abilities, and other criteria required for you to have a workable
pokemon.

202. Order

202.1 - Draft order is traditionally selected by use of a Random Number


Generator or the "Numbers in a Hat" method. 1 representing the
first draft pick and so forth. Any random method can be used as
long as it is agreed upon by all parties.

202.2 - Draft order is serpentine with the draft starting with first pick and working its
way down to last. The second round will begin with the last pick and work its
way up to first. This gives the first and last picks double draft picks on
alternating rounds.

203. Restrictions

203.1 - Once a pokemon has been drafted, it cannot be chosen again by


another team.

3. Rosters
301. Lineups

301.1 - Team Linups must be listed on the Files/Docs League Facebook page. Each
player is expected to edit their roster as they make changes to it so as to keep
everyone who they are facing informed and not misled.

301.2 - Lineups must be updated fully by the end of the week (Saturday at 6pm)

301.3 - Pokemon and items can be changed in between fights.

302. Free Agency

302.1 - Any pokemon not picked during the draft can be picked up as a free agent at the
cost of one active pokemon.

302.2 - Free agent pickups must be posted to the free agent pool document under the
files page on the pokemon league facebook page.

302.3 - Once a pokemon is generated from the free agent pool it is that pokemon forever.
it must be traded back if dropped and it will be kept in the free agent pool on
pokemon home. if picked up that pokemon will be given to the new team.

302.4 - All free agents are generated at level one.

302.5 - Free agent pickups made during a battle week will be given out at the end of the
week.

303. Waiver Wire

303.1 - Once a free agent is dropped it will be attached to the 'Waiver Wire' for 24 hours.

303.2 - Any team may attempt to pick up the free agent during this time, however once
the 24 hours is up the team with the lowest ranking will get the pickup.

303.3 - Before the first week, instead of rankings draft order will be used, so lowest draft
order will get priority pick.

303.4 - If no claim is made on a pokemon after the initial 24 hour period, it will become a
regular free agent and can be picked up at any time.

304. Trades

304.1 - Trades between teams must be posted on the trades page on the pokemon
league facebook group.

304.2 - Trades made during the week will be applied for the following week so each team
can have legal rosters.
304.3 - After Week 6 the last two seeds are trade locked and cannot tade with anyone
but eachother.

305.4 - Hidden Ability pickups and All-Star rewards can be traded.

4. Pokemon

401. General

401.1 - The Current draft pool is: Generation 8 (Sword/Shield).

402.2 - Based upon new non-national pokedex standards, all available pokemon from
the selected generation's pokedex that are not restricted are legal.

402.3 - EV Training is permitted.

402. Abilities

402.1 - Pokemon can have either of their abilities unless some sort of restriction exists
where it cannot be possible.

402.2 - There will be one available Hidden Ability pokemon during draft and one
available hidden ability free agent pickup per team.

402.3 - There is no limit to how many Hidden Ability pokemon are on one team, they
can be traded and dropped like normal.

403. Moves

403.1 - Any move a pokemon can learn or relearn at its current level is legal.

403.2 - Relearn (egg) moves are available. These must be chosen during draft or free
agent pickup and cannot be rechosen after the pokemon is generated.

404. Generation

404.1 - All Pokemon are generated using PKHex.

404.2 - Natures are chosen by use of a Random Number Generator and assigned to
each individual pokemon at the start of the season. These values cannot be
changed.

404.3 - IVs are chosen at random using PKHex's randomization tool. These values
cannot be changed.

404.4 - All generated pokemon are online legal.


5. Matches

501. Regular Season

501.1 - Regular Season is on a seven week battle schedule.

501.2 - There will be three matches for each team during each week of the regular
season.

501.3 - All matches can be held at 30 Chestnut Street every (Monday) starting after
(October 15th).

501.4 - Matches are streamed on twitch.tv/erniesterfernie.

501.5 - Disconnections: Disconnections have become uncommon but are still there. If a
disconnect occurs, several factors must be considered: Remaining Pokemon,
Remaining Time, and Conscession Factor. If one team has a clear advantage, or
was about to win they should be awarded the match. If the match can be
returned to its previous state by either not brinign knocked out pokemon or
recreating the moves, that may also be done. Otherwise a restart is required.

501.6 - The top two seeds of the regular season are granted a bye in the first round of
the post season.

501.7 - The last two seeds are given an automatic loss in the post season and are put
directly into the losers bracket.

501.8 - The winner of the regular season (team with best record) recieves a cash prize.

502. All-Star Game

502.1 - Once per season after Week 5 a second draft will take place for the all-star game.
This draft is entirly digital and should be done online through discord or similar
means.

502.2 - Format is Little Cup.

502.3 - Draft order is reverse rankings order.


502.4 - Each team will have 6 pokemon.

502.5- Doubles Format.

502.6 - All Pokemon must be level 5.

502.7 - Pokemon cannot be evolved.

502.8 - Players cannot use the following Pokémon:

Corsola-Galar, Cutiefly, Drifloon, Gastly, Gothita ,Rufflet, Sneasel,


Swirlix, Vulpix, Vulpix-Alola.

502.9 - Ability Moody is banned.

502.10 - Baton Pass is banned.

502.11- Dynamax is not allowed.

503. Postseason

503.1 - Matches are to be held in person during the post season. This is to reduce the
risk of disconnections.

503.2 - All matches must be done on wifi to also further reduce the risk of
disconnection.

503.3 - In between each match there will be a 5 minute rest period where items and
moves can be changed.

503.4 - The postseason is double elimination with a winners and losers bracket.

503.5 - Disconnects in post season are considered an immediate draw unless a


consession is made.

504. Rankings

504.1 - Rankings are done on a head to head basis.

504.2 - Ties for rankings will be broken based on difficulty of opponent and win loss
ratio of who you lost to.

504.3 - Each team will fight against each other 3 times, so rankings can also be tie
broken based on who won the best two out of three in the outing.

6. Commissioner
601. General

601.1 - The commissioner is the person responsible for most of the heavily lifting in the
league. He is also the person who is responsible for recruiting new members
and collecting league dues. He pretty much does everything the Dungeon Master
would.

601.2 - Commissioner is also maintainer of the belt. The Pokemon League Belt is the
property of the Pokemon League and must be returned to the commissioner when
asked.

602. Rules Enforcement

602.1 - If any rules are violated the commissioner is resonsible for hanging out any
Disqualifications deemed necessary.

602.2 - The commissioner can check any team on PKHex for possible hacking.

602.3 - During the postseason a routine check of all pokemon must be done to ensure
that all teams are clean and clear of hacking.

602.4 - Disconnection rulings are also handled by the commissioner.

603. Responsibilities

603.1 - Generation of all pokemon.

603.2 - Posting of all matchups.

603.3 - Posting of all results and rankings.

603.4 - Posting of all match videos/stream host.

603.5 - Draft pool is commissioners choice.
