C. OBJECTIVES
 At the end of the lesson, the learners are expected to:
1. Prepare the necessary tools and equipment for the specific nail care activity
(TLE_HEBC7/8UT-0a-b-1)
a. Define nail care tools and equipment.
b. Identify the different nail care tools and equipment.
c. Perform the different nail care tools and equipment by drawing, poem, and
jingle
d. Express the importance of knowing the use and availability of tools and
equipment in nail care activity.

What was your last activity all about? King Ma’am, our last activity was all about sterilization and

So, what is the difference between sterilization Sterilization is the process of destroying all living
and sanitation? Ehra? micro-organisms. While sanitation is the process of
destroying some, but not all micro-organisms.

So, what are the chemical agent in sterilizing
and sanitizing? We have disinfectant and antiseptic.

That is correct!
How does disinfectant differ from antiseptic? Disinfectant is a substance used to control micro-
organisms on non-living surfaces such as tools,
equipment and other furniture and fixtures. While
antiseptic is an agent that prevents the multiplication
of micro-organisms.
