ACTIVITY 2: ACT OF MAN OR HUMAN ACT

QUESTIONS:

1. Watch the video about the controversial slapping of Will Smith to comedian Chris Rock.
https://youtu.be/myjEoDypUD8

2. Was the slapping justified or not? Explain your answer

- For me, Will Smith's slapping of Chris Rock was justified because, as Chris Rock was
delivering his speech in front of a large audience, he also brought up the situation
involving his wife, which he teased mercilessly. This caused Will Smith to become
upset, but he refrained from expressing it to Chris Rock out of respect for the victor.

Will Smith expected Chris Rock to appreciate him, but he wasn't prepared for what
came next. Chris Rock decided to smack his wife in front of the audience at the
Oscars award ceremony because he was still making fun of her.

3. Was it an act of man or human act? Justify your answer.

- I consider Will Smith's expression of his feelings, which at times include anger,
disappointment, and insult, to be a human act. Will Smith is giving Chris Rock the
credit he deserves in that situation where it was Chris Rock's responsibility and he
needed to alter that particular component.
