Lesson Plan- 1

Grade: II (Mathematics)
Topic / Concept: Reading and writing numbers (0 to 1000)
Expected Learning Objective: Students will be able to read and write the numbers 0 to 1000.

Resources Needed: Marker, whiteboard, chits of paper, number strips and ribbons.

Lesson Activities:

Introductory activity (Pre-Lesson): Teacher will show 3 number cards by writing different
5-10 numbers on them and will discuss how to read those numbers.
minutes Now teacher will call one – one child from each bench to frame 2-digit and 3-digit numbers by
using those 3 number cards and will write them on the board.

Now teacher will introduce the topic ‘reading and writing numbers 0 to 1000’.

minutes Main activity (During Lesson): Now the teacher will divide the class into four groups. Students
will make any 3-digit numbers by rolling the dice among them self and they will write those
numbers by making different colourful wall hangings.

minutes Plenary (Post Lesson)
Copy Work: Form the smallest and greatest 3- digit numbers using the digits.

HA: Workbook pg 8 Exercise (1.1) Q1 and pg 9 (Q6) .Do it in the book.
