North Korea is a country in East Asia. It's up north on the Korean Peninsula. The Sea
of Japan is on its east, and the Yellow Sea is on its west. South Korea is to the
south, and China and Russia are to the north. Pyongyang is the big city and capital
where lots of people live and where important things happen.

The weather in North Korea changes with the seasons – cold winters and warm, wet
summers. There are many mountains and a few at areas where people grow food.
Over 25 million people live there, mostly Koreans, who speak Korean. It's a place
where everyone follows similar traditions and ways of life.
