panicked because we knew we couldn’t
afford a hotel room for as long as we
needed to be at the hospital to stay close to

365 Days of Giving
It takes many resources to operate our House so we can welcome
families 365 days a year. This is where 365 Days of Giving comes in to
help our families when they need it the most!

The cost for the House to provide an overnight stay is $102.73 and
covers everything a family needs while they’re here – toiletries,
laundry, meals, and more. Families are asked to pay $20 per night
stay, most are unable to pay but are never turned away.

Our House provides a place of rest and rejuvenation away from the
hospital. We provide what families need that removes barriers,
strenghthens families, and promotes healing. Your support as a 365
Days of Giving Sponsor means that we can provide a safe,
comfortable place for families to rest and heal so they can be at their
best for their child.

You can choose to sponsor a specific day that is meaningful to you!

Pull Tab Collections
Collecting pull tabs is a fun and easy way to give back to RMHC Central Georgia.

Our Pull Tab Program is great for all ages and groups! We encourage individuals,
businesses, groups and schools to collect the pull tabs from aluminum cans and turn
them in for recycling. We have a wonderful business relationship with SA Recycling,
which has agreed to be our scrap metal dealer and record all aluminum brought in
by schools and groups and pays top dollar to our Chapter!

What to do:
1. Collect
Pop the tab off of soda cans, soup cans, dog
food, etc... as long as it is aluminum!

2. Store
Any large mouth container can be used!
You may make your collection container
from a cardboard box, bucket, or large zip-
lock baggies. Decorating them will bring
attention to them and remind folks about
saving the pull tabs.

3. Deliver to

Volunteer at the House
Volunteers are truly the heart and soul of our Ronald McDonald House. If you are
interested in giving some of your time and talents to the House, either on a regular
basis or as a project, we are certain that it will be a memorable and rewarding
experience. Volunteers serve in many ways, helping to make the House a
comfortable and supportive place for our families.

Whether it’s planning and coordinating a family activity, supplying and cooking a
meal for the families through our “Meals that Heal” program, being a part of our
spring cleaning crew, or committing to volunteer on shifts each month, our
volunteers help make this House a Home.

Below is a list of some duties that volunteers participate in at the House:

Greet and welcome families and visitors to the House
Help keep the kitchen and public areas well organized and clean
Prepare guest rooms for the next family needing our assistance
Answer phone calls
Assist with mailings and clerical work
Provide support for special events
Help with seasonal projects like decorating for holidays
or freshening up our patio and planters

To ensure a safe and productive experience, student volunteers

under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by one adult for
every 6 students.

Some suggested group service opportunities include:

Cooking a meal for our families
Baking cookies in our kitchen
Coordinate a Donation Drive for the house by distributing
copies of our "Wish List", collecting donated items and
bringing them to the House
Create a fundraiser to raise funds to support
RMHC Central Georgia

Meet Kinsley Cowart

Kinsley’s Story
Kinsley was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. She and
her family would have to travel 150 miles from their home to
receive Kinsley's cancer treatment. Kinsley and her family
were able to stay for several months at RMHC Central
Georgia providing them an isolated, home environment just
two blocks from the hospital. Throughout the course of
Kinsley's cancer journey, she and her family have made
multiple return visits to Ronald McDonald House to attend
various appointments and undergo necessary treatments

We are thrilled to celebrate that Kinsley recently rang the

bell marking the last of her chemotherapy treatments!
